  1. man this is not what i expected lol....i can shoot a snot rocket far guess i have good lungs hahahaha
  2. i use power pro on everything when i go out on my uncles boat he hates me lol cause he uses mono and when a nice fish gets on and starts running over mono lines it will saw right through them lol
  3. yeap either tie the boat up into a business and write it off or i would sell it and buy a flats boat
  4. for 12 inch worms i use the owner 7/0
  5. oh yes when lady fish are on they will hit anything...when i fish munyon island they are there most times along with small jacks and you can throw anything and they will hit it lol they dont get so big but they give a nice fight...they are also good for shark bait and snook bait we were at lake worth bridge a few nights ago catching them in the light at the bottom of the bridge and had a blast on light tackle
  6. other than the hooks being stronger really any bass stuff will work in saltwater...we use bass crank baits, flukes, swim baits, spoons, and everything else so you should be fine
  7. there is a forum one in the south east section but its just for fun other than that i havent heard of any
  8. not sure about carry on but if you have a checked bag just put them in there
  9. idk about everyone else but targeting just bass gets boring and we use bass rods for targeting snook in the offseasons... really i mix rods if i like the action of a rod made for one species ill use it for whatever im targeting... if it fits the bait im using i dont even bother to see what species the rods are made for
  10. batson does everything i believe...they have forecast components(guides), alps(reel seats and such) and rainshadow blanks
  11. slow down here too..although when im bass fishing i cant seem to take it slow anymore i get impatient but! when im snook fishing i can reel in so slow that it takes 20 minutes to reel in one cast lol go figure
  12. hey i hope they stay cheap in price lol cause they are very sensitive but i guess not the lightest blanks but they are strong and i guess mostly unfinished blanks but i like the unfinished look which reminds me i really should start marking what model the blank is when i build lol
  13. not to rag on st croix cause i use some of their blanks too but i like my rainshadow blanks better....i dont care for warranties and thats why i like rainshadow better because i dont have to use their warranty...i would rather not have any problems than have to use the warranty and thats what i get from rainshadow :D

i use for saltwater flats fishing lol
  15. lets all go on sams boat and... lol
  16. spool your line up very tight and you wont have digging....i have my brother hold the spool tight and crank it on while i watch him burn his hands and laughhh hahaha how mean i am lol...my friend used to go as far as tying his line to something and walking it off then spool it back on extremely tight while he walked back toward the tie off lol(just a wee bit overkill) also the level winds on baitcasters dont move back and forth fast enough for my taste which is why i use nonlevel wind reels
  17. i use the 30, 40, 50, 65, 80 and 100lb power pros and the 30 and 80 is not much different really so just keep the 50...my favs are the 40 and 65 though lol
  18. i listen to music whenever im fishing through pandora except when im fish saltwater flats...then i have to make sure im very quiet always lol when shark fishing in a boat i like music that has a hard beat to it for attraction
  19. palomar with braid cause it doesnt slip and improved clinch with mono....both have never failed me but the clinch slips with braid.....if i had a lighter to burn the braid then i just use the improved clinch for everything
  20. not in an aquarium but my friend had one in a small turtle pond for some years bass pro shops has a tank with a bunch of them
  21. where i used to work they had a pond and they put 7 giant grass carp in there for years to eat the grasses and such in the water...lake was pretty clean and there were lots of bass and it didnt matter the oxygen because they had a 5hp sprinkler pump constantly pumping in water from the canal to keep the pond full only problem was the bass didnt get very big because 2 red tail hawks used to feed in the pond all the time plucking the bass out when they got to 2-3lbs lol...its great seeing a hawk come slamming into the water realllllly fast and grabbing a bass lol
  22. lol when i drop my trinidads in the sand they get a dunk in the saltwater to clean them off and then everything feels like butter again haha
  23. lol i fish with them in the rain, they get wet in the back of my truck, i dont clean them....i just buy quality reels and never have problems as for the rods if you use good guides you shouldnt have a problem either just wipe them down or do what i do...leave them standing up in the garage...if you have to baby them all the time then they arent for me
  24. i use only power pro i tried others and they just didnt do it for me and i use all shimano reels so fitting that i use their line too haha
  25. i never see any promotions on shimano except for the power pro line goes on sale at dicks sometimes... also the handles on the trinidads and such are supposed to be ergonomic
