  2. can someone please refer me to a good article on actions and how they work, I was under the impression, because of how "whippy", the front end of the rod is with Xfast that it would have alot of "give" but thats not what im reading on this thread lol not meaning to thread jack but have I been looking at "actions" all wrong lately? lol

  13. Im here in north florida and a storm front moved through wednesday and thursday. Today is all blue skies but the morning temperature has dropped to about 55-60 now so i know the water temp overall will be effected and BP and all that good stuff. Im going fishing after work today one lake is clear to about 6 feet with tons of hydrilla and unfortunately lake snot algae lol The other place i may go is a retention pond that about 10 acres in all i guess, great fishing in this thing, its brown water and only visible to about 1-2 foot probably less now with that rain stirring things up! lol Any lure suggestions for these type conditions? Post front, drop in temp, clearish green water and brown water? Ive taken 2 combos with me one for softplastics senkos and t-rigs and the other is a crankbait setup. this should cover just about anything you guys suggest!
  14. They become super finicky spooky when on their beds, like what has already been suggested, I agree, take some sort of jig or creature bait, like a z hog jr or a baby brush hog, i like to rig them on a shakey head so it keeps them nose down like theyre trying to get into the bed or "feeding". Cast past the bed, or flip/pitch past the bed, then reel it in slowly and let it fall to the edge of the bed. Then slowly skip/shake it into the center, then just lightly shake it and let it set there. The key is to go pretty slow and be patient!
  15. Thanks for the tips!!
  16. i figured it might be dont but would it be as strong as before? cus i dont think i can just retip this, atleast a foot and some inches snapped off lol

  19. Today was bittersweet on the water. I was having a great day! Catching em left and right on a craw tube in junebug. ANNNDD I caught my new personal best, which i estimated to weigh 4lbs However, in my excitement to land my prize, i put too much pressure on the tip as it hung from my line and pop, there goes the rod tip. Yup, dumb mistake, I broke my favorite 7' MF St Croix LTB Teaser. This was slightly sentimental as it was my first high end rod, and was the reason Ive REALLY gotten into fishing lol On that note, I will be in the market for a new MF casting rod to use for soft plastics! haha Ill post in the Flea Market so check it out or PM for me details of what im looking for
  20. Can someone tell me what these should sell for reasonably?
