  1. I have used them on 2 ML Ned Rig rods without issue.
  2. I forget who made it but someone made a 7" bait with a snake shaped head and the body of a ribbon tail worm. It was a great topwater bait. I still have some chartreuse ones somewhere in the Bass Hole. Megabass and Savage Gear make snake baits.
  3. Agreed on Tatsu. If you go braid to leader like I do on everything, the cost is minimal using a leader length at a time.
  4. Especially at night or very low-light conditions. You can hear that baby a cove away!
  5. Whatever you do, don't rig that Mag Fluke on a big shakey head...?
  6. On spinning gear, the braid almost eliminates the line twist issues you have with other lines. It also greatly increases the sensitivity. Plus if you want to use expensive fluro for your leader, a spool will last you a long time and the braid will last you years. I am braid to leader on everything. Learn a good connection knot and you're good to go. I use the Lefty Kreh knot. Very easy to tie.
  7. The French Fry is one of my all-time favorite Carolina Rig baits. Has anyone tried a TRD on one or maybe a split shot rig? Seems like the buoyancy might be a plus.
  8. Small knot - tie it in 15 seconds. It has never failed me. Some tarpon fishing buddies turned me on to it. They've been known to pull a little bit ?
  9. I have beat the bejeezus out of this one from Amazon for 3 years. it has been flawless. https://www.amazon.com/SZYT-Military-Tactical-Backpack-Daypack/dp/B081YRW6JF/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=camo+backpack&qid=1589926766&sr=8-5
  10. The problem with that bait was you couldn't burn it or it would blow out. The concept was great, the execution not so.
  11. BPS has 832 for $10 for 150 yds.
  12. Just for S & G, I threw $50 in the Indigo kick-starter. Mine is supposed to be here soon.
  13. I use neither. The Hog Farmer Spunk Shad absolutely dances.
  14. The Dangle Berry Rig. The sliding weight on the hook will make a fluke or small swimbait do things you can't duplicate with a rod.
  15. It can be deadly. Lateley I have been pitchin' the Magnum Rage Menace with a pegged weight. It's amazing how much noise that bait makes on a quick drop.
  16. I prefer to tie direct, but all it takes is one blade of grass or a small piece of debris to stop that tail from spinning. Then the entire lure rolls. If this is at the beginning of a long cast, your line will be wrecked unless you are using braid. A quality swivel is cheap insurance.
  17. I still have my 6' All Star Pitchin' Rod. The pistol grip cork was shot so I just put Winn Grips on it. She's ready to go!
  18. Any reason why these would not work? The Winn golf grips are half the price of their fishing grips. https://www.bonanza.com/listings/Winn-Dri-Tac-Golf-Grips-All-Sizes-and-Colors-Available/697516110?goog_pla=1&variation_id=998887192&gpid=340094839411&keyword=&goog_pla=1&pos=&ad_type=pla&gclid=Cj0KCQjwyur0BRDcARIsAEt86IA9JnCXjpRpPZKEcMeA1eLghNiKCBeUU13i0VZuv1T3Sm-YtokcKREaAq9HEALw_wcB
  19. During the shad spawn, I've always got a white jig rigged with a fluke, Rage Menace vertical, or a 4" grub, all in white. Do your thing!!
  20. I use the Spunk Shad from Hog Farmer. That pin tail dances behind a bladed jig or a scrounger.
  21. Not sure why, but the Big Bite stuff doesn't get a lot of love around here. You go to the SE, especially Florida and it's a staple. While I have not used the chunk, I've caught a lot of fish on the Cane Thumper & the BB Kicker and durability has not been an issue.
  22. Kalin's or the Rage Menace - 4" on both. Dirty Avacado on the Kalins, KVD Magic on the Menace.
  23. I do label the compartment, but at the end of the day (if I've been on them) I will have several laying around. I do need to mark them with a Sharpie or paint pen. Thanks for the tip!
