10lb Sufix 832. I have also tried 20lb and 15lb but liking the 10b the most so far.

I’m sure it’s not the “best” but I love my Dobyns Fury 705, especially for the price point.

I have no experience with the ALX. I recently purchased a 6’10 Tatula in both spinning/casting and love them. I can confirm that the guides on the 6’10” models are not a problem with leader knots like initially thought. I use 40lb Sufix braid to 12lb Yo Zuri hybrid using an Alberto knot. Great rods for the money and especially at the sale prices.

Look at the Costa Sunrise Silver Mirror lens. They were made for dusk/dawn and low light conditions.

I got to fish my two new Tatulas (not OG) on a few occasions and absolutely love them so far. They were purchased because of this thread. I have the 6’10 MH casting and 6’10 M spinning. Only complaint is that I prefer split grips for my casting rods but no biggie. I haven’t caught a fish on them yet but for $100, the casting rod is amazing to me. Still on sale too. Also, I initially thought the guides on the casting Tatula was too small for a leader knot but have not had any problems.

Jigs and drop shots. Plan on working on it a lot more this year.

No sure if you have the 400 or 580, but the 580 green mirror that Costa uses is Copper based.

Because of this thread and after speaking to a few people, I picked up a 2 Daiwa Tatulas (Not OGs). 1 spinning and 1 casting. Curious to see how they compare to the Fury’s I have.

Only line I use for my leaders. I use 6lb, 8lb, 10lb and 12lb and love it. Funny story...last year when I started fishing again, I went to our Bass Pro and asked one of the workers if they had any of the Yozuri Hybrid. He laughed and with attitude said “we stopped selling that stuff a long time ago!” Just a few weeks ago, I seen they had it on the shelves again and plus it was on sale.

I agree. Every time I felt one, the weight is the first thing I noticed.

Does the Tatula (not XT) have split grips or full cork? I am interested in these rods but I want to be sure that I am looking at the correct model.

I love the Ghost Prisim shad color. Easy to walk and the fish love it. Haven’t had any luck with the bone color though.

Hula Popper....at around 2pm on a hot sunny day fishing from the bank. My cousin made me use a top water so I wouldn’t get snagged. I was popping for hours and was bored out of my mind. Fish smashed the lure and I some how landed it on a old cheap combo....it was a 3lb+.

Most successful night baits for me were a black spinnerbait with short arm Colorado blade and senkos. Caught a ton of senkos. Junebug and watermelon with black flake always produced.
