If we forget about weight or balance for a second, what do y'all believe the most sensitive rod in the $100-150 range is? I've heard the almighty praise about the *** for its balance, but I've heard that it's not that sensitive.

I used one of my friends speed spools, but I hated the magnetic brakes and I didn't think it was very comfortable to palm.

I've been saving money and can finally afford my first real quality set up. I've decided on a Shimano Citica 200G6 and either a Falcon Bucoo or Bucoo Micro 6'10 or 7' MH or an *** 7'1 MH or a Revo S and a Veritas 7' MH. Which would you choose?

Any one gotten any more info on these?

I have to say, it's the lightest reel in the $100 range I've ever felt. It's no mgxtreme, but it was lighter than the revo s sitting right next to it.

Has anyone used this. I was just at Academy buying my third mettle when I decided to do something crazy and feel the mystic. What an awesome reel for the price, and it would be sweet during the rod riot. What's your experience with this reel.

Try respooling with braid. The memory in the fluoro can cause it to jump off the spool in big coils, but remember to keep that fluoro that you take off and use it as a leader. And a little off topic but you were asking about the gear ratio, that spinning reel is probably getting really close to the same inches per turn as your bantam.

Remember it's perfectly acceptable to start drinking at 8 am... in nearly every trailer park.

Cork on all my rods currently. I think it's just an elegant look on a rod. Eva looks cheap but it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

A scientific law in my mind is best put into fishing terms like this "if the conditions are X than the fish must be Y." Well in bass fishing we can't do this because of the amount of variables. While there are instincts that may make this true for a percentage of fish, not all fish have the same reactions when put into any given situation. Therefore, because a scientific law must be true 100% of the time, you can't have a scientific law that works with bass fishing. DISCLAIMER : That's coming from a 14 year old so correct me if I'm wrong.

I just picked up the ultimate hollow body frog in black and blue. I trimmed down the legs and it hops really well, but it's not so hot when you try to walk it. I like it.

I read that post. He also straight up said that he's 16. I'm 14 and don't do anything but I have friends who dip. The way I see it, it's better them doing that then something hard.

I always use a 4/0, and save my 3/0 for senkos.
