I don't know if you can use golf clubs as an example. The clubs that Tiger uses are completely custom and not available to the general public. Now whether or not the reels that KVD or any of the other Quantum guys are off-the-shelf reels is debatable. While the Elite pros have to place a lot of faith in their equipment, I still don't see them fishing a lot of the products if they're not getting paid.

Got a new 6'9 MHF in today, was getting ready to throw a reel on there when I decided to weigh it. 6'9 MHF LTX weighs 105.45 grams. 28.4 grams per ounce. Therefore it weighs 3.7 oz. All I know is that it is lighter than squirrel feathers.

Can't say that I didn't notice the similarities between the Daiwa reels and the Revo's when the Revo's first hit the market a couple of years ago.

You can't beat the Okuma sticks for the money. The 7'11 H is the one you were using last week. $110 from Tackle Warehouse with free shipping.

Too short for any appreciable casting distance. I get an extra 10-15 yards from that Okuma/Slammer than when I throw the Slammer on a 7' BPS PQ HXF.
