Bought My First spool of XPS flourocorbon Last night
As far as FC and knots, no matter what you tie lubrication is key. Slobber that thing up before cinching. FC is very susceptible to friction damage. I found XPS FC to be a little too stiff and too shear-prone (the line splits). Thus far, my favorites are Trilene 100% and Stren 100%.

Don Barone story on ESPN
Well, you have to actually be able to READ to enjoy it. I think I ticked him off last year. Keri introduced us in the lobby, we chatted. Later that night, I pulled his latest article up and started reading. Fell asleep without getting through the article. Told him the next day that his article had put me to sleep, don't think he liked that too much. ;D

Do You Drink While on the Water?
I don't see the point. If you want to drink, why not do it at home or in a bar?

Looking for some good sunglasses
If you aren't averse to another pair of CDM's, take a look at the Fathom or Man 0 War. Their green or silver mirror would be in line with your desired goal.

Trailer Wheel Bearings
I don't know if it would have helped in your situation, but a good habit to practice is checking your hubs every time you stop. Just as simple as walking back to the trailer and touching the hubs. If they're anything but cool, trouble is brewing.

Polarized Sunglasses
There are a couple of local personalities who are sponsored by Kaenon. They seem to love them. I haven't seen them anywhere.

Is it dangerous to take a small boat on a big lake?
It is safe if you know your limitations and don't get crazy. There is a guy in our club who fished a couple of tournaments last year in a 12' jon on a 29 000 acre lake. He stayed close to the ramp. That said, SML is a different animal. You would be fine until the pleasure boaters hit the water.

What size of hat do you wear? I wear a 7 3/4 and the Man O War was pretty much the only frame that would fit my mega-melon.

I bought some P Line. Good choice?
If you're familiar with the Trilene brand, then CX is the XL of the PLine family. CXX is the XT. What does that even mean? :-? Didn't I just run the freaking numbers a month or so ago, and CXX was actually thinner than Trilene XT? :-? Where do these people get their info from? : Info? Facts? Who needs 'em!
