  1. War Eagle. Best I've ever used.
  2. Nothing is ever "the same" after one company is bought out by another. I would hope that would be learned by now after seeing how Rapala screwed with wiggle warts.
  3. It's funny, just as I was typing this I found this website. Thanks for the suggestion!
  4. Yeah agreed on these colors for bluegill imitators, but I can't find them anywhere for sale. Are you buying from a specific site Logan? Or ebay?
  5. I feel as though a lot of guys tend to overlook the effectiveness of a jerkbait. Most guys stop throwing them when the water warms, but they flat out catch fish all year long.
  6. Anyone have any idea where I can find this? Normally I purchase most of my skirting material from fishingskirts.com or TW, but neither seem to have it. TW has one brand of it with horrible reviews and fishingskirts.com only has square/flat rubber skirting. I've seen some round rubber on lures parts online but I've never ordered from here before.
  7. I only use war eagle, they are quality spinnerbaits at a good price.
  8. Get yourself some Mann's Baby 1 - crankbaits or some Spro Baby Fat John 50's. Not saying you still can't throw squarebills, because i'm sure there is riprap in certain lakes and reservoirs down there but around grass you would do much better with a wakebait style crank.
  9. Yeah the 832 is good stuff. It's what I use now for all my spinning rods and works well. Normally 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' applies, but this is a product that could be pretty effective in lighter bait application situations.
  10. Has anyone tried or gotten their hands on this braid yet? I want to try it out, but would love to get some reviews. I'm not even sure where you can purchase it since TW doesn't carry it right now.
  11. I wouldn't consider this cheating. Plenty of guys use the help of guides in order to better understand the waters they live by. Only way this would ever be considered cheating is if they pulled the fish from a cage and brought them to weigh-in.
  12. It's entirely dependent upon the area you were in and the presentation you were using.

There are a lot of ways you can fish them, but as pointed out previously in the above posts the most highly used way is much like a spinnerbait. Stick with either the new z-man custom chatterbait or if you can find them the D&M Piranha (Version 1). I say version 1 for the D&M because this is before they were hit with the patent infringement by Z-man and the old D&M version 1 did not have a split ring attached to the head of the bait. There are other chatterbaits available on the market but make sure you fish the ones without the split ring attachments as they tend to kill the intended action of the bait.

What brand of tubes are the best on the market? I rarely throw them but have a tournament coming up and know I will need them. I'll probably be throwing them on an ewg hook with a bullet weight or on an Owner tube hook. With the amount of hangups that would happen with an exposed hook it's not worth it.
  15. Used to use a lot of trokar but the keeper barb chews up plastic worse than the fish. I've switched to the Mustand Denny Brauer Grip Pin Max's and love them.
  16. Hey guys, I need to buy a new jacket for an upcoming tournament. I've read good reviews on the StormR Fusion Series jackets but was looking for some input on sizing from someone who owns one. I've heard they run small and are slightly tighter. Some reviews have said to buy a size larger than what your normally wear. Any input? Thanks.
  17. Just saw via facebook a video post from Duo Realis USA of Martens previous BASS AOY Championship round in 2014 where he was using the spinbait. Seems fairly obvious this is who he will be signing on with. It's just too coincidental that Megabass and Martens parted ways yesterday and then this post was released today.
  18. I agree, Powell is where it's at. I do own a couple Veritas rods though and have to say they are pretty good rods at roughly $100 price point.
  19. I just bought a GoPro and have recorded quite a bit of video footage already, but I have yet to edit it and truly form videos. Does anyone on here use anything other than the GoPro software for editing their footage? I assume that answer is yes but want to get some opinions on what video editing software you use. -Zach
  20. While this does give me a bunch of various images I can't zoom in far enough on any of them to clarify the color name ratings.
  21. Does anyone know of these or where I can find them? I've searched across the net with no luck.
  22. Chunks - find the middle of the chunk, push it through the hook until it is in the middle of the hook bend Full size trailer - thread it on I'm sure some guys have different methods but this is what has worked for me and probably 99% of the population that fishes.
  23. 1. Great search bait, and bass typically during the fall move far more following baitfish populations around 2. Something about the tight wobble given off by a lipless
  24. I agree I think depending on the size of the fluke he is using the hook is too small, I too usually stick with a 4/0 or 5/0 EWG.
  25. Which power handles are you referring to? Can you give me a link? Are you talking about the XP Handles?
