  1. I fish them with j will and big hammer jig heads some. Mostly I just use EWG hooks, with or without a bullet weight out in front to get them down.
  2. I fish R.I. Little and Skinny Dippers. Keitechs too. They are more expensive - but have a greater tail wag. I fish them with EWG hooks and sometimes with a small bullet weight to get them down if the water conditions warrant it.
  3. Well, I've got two different reports on sink rates of the S-Waver vs. Glide Swimmer.
  4. I've ordered a few S-Wavers in the second largest size 168 or 6-3/4". I've also ordered a few Sebile Magic Swimmers in size 165 or 6-1/2". I've got a Whopper Plopper 130 and 190. I've got a Bubble Walker and Bubble Popper both in the 150 size. I've got a few topwater Wide Glides now too. I've got some Lazer eye Jointed 9" Salt Jerks, Koppers Perch, Saltwater Skitter Walks, Rapala Super Shad Raps and Gliding Raps, Shallow Invaders and a bunch of llungen bucktails. For the less toothy critters I've now got a bunch of Savage Gear 3D Trout, Line Thrus, and Real Eels.
  5. I think it's first few weeks of May. Weekend usually. I saw my wife toss the flier the other day. She said, "You don't need an excuse to buy stuff. You'll do it anyway."
  6. Bass Pro Pro Qualifier's are going to be $80.00 during the spring classic. Okuma Citrix's can be found for $120.00 and they have a $20.00 rebate going on. Other than that, Lews Speed Spool.
  7. I forgot one. I still fish slider heads and slider worms
  8. Suprised no one said Tennessee yet. Lowest Taxes in the country. Some of the highest quality of living for your dollar of anywhere in the country. Dale Hollow for Smallies, Chick, Pickwick, Douglas and Kentucky Lake for Bass. By this list, Texas wins. http://www.bassmaster.com/news/100-best-bass-lakes-2013
  9. Rebel Craws/Frogs/Crickets, Pop-R, Hula Popper, Rogues, Kastmaster Spoons, Kwikfish, Original Rapalas, Jitterbugs, Popping Bugs, Bandits with triple grip trebles. My number one are Yo-Zuri Snap Beans. They absolutely slay. Secret of mine.
  10. I had a specific shad rap I threw for years in rivers, creeks, lakes - it finally broke on me recently. Wasn't even the bill. It was cracked alongside the eye of the fish. It fished wonky because of that. I've not had many other cranks - especailly ones that bump stuff, last that long.
  11. I think it's the profile flat shape with the tight wobble.
  12. I've never cared for firetiger for anything but Crappie. The crawdad and dark brown craw are good, but not great. Maybe Demon works
  13. The cranks spun for me as well. I have lots of the shad and minnows and while I don't think they outfish their counterparts, I'd say they have their place. The hunt action on the shad is awesome. The minnows turns the versatile original into a cast and crank only. You just can't jerk it or twitch it like the originals. I'll stick with the shad. If they release a shallow shad shaped scatter rap, I'd be all over it. Shallow Shad Raps are my number 1 bait.
  14. Hey, I bought some today too. Only because I very few DT6s in the first place. I usually Fish Bandit 100-300s. I got some of those too.
  15. I fish Green Pumpkin, California 420, Watermelon Seed, June Bug, Red Bug, Black and Blue in worms and brush hogs. Albino, Arkansas Shiner, Pearl Flash for Flukes. Some companies like R.I. I use penetration and houdini. I like some alabama craw colors. Don't get too caught up on colors. Green Pumpkin, Watermelon Seed, Black and Blue and Red Bug will cover your bases for worms/creatures. Whites, Pearls, Browns will cover your flukes, swimmers.
  16. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/127458-why-dont-more-people-fish-chatterbaits/ I'm a chatterbait lover. I'm all about Frenzy Vibes. Frenzy vibe with a subwoofer or R.I. Little Dipper.... = hang on.
  17. GREAT BOAT. I literally sold a Grumman 1465P today locally. Had it posted on the forums. I love my Grumman.
  18. I've just got a Hobie Mirage Drive. I got it before the Pro Anglers were out. I missed a consignment sale of a Pro Angler lightly used for $1,000 at Hook1 here. I went back to buy it, cash in hand, and it was gone. :-(
  19. Another +1 for savage gear, I won their promotion today. Free Tacklebag for big swimbaits! Mwahaha.
  20. Thanks for the replies. I may make an order at monster whenever I decide.
  21. I've been hitting the Stripe and Musky pretty hard lately. I'm expanding my arsenal substantially. I've gotten loads of stuff recently. I'm still looking to get some new wake baits and glide baits. My next order will be a S-Waver or a Glide Swimmer, a Sebile Magic Swimmer 145, Whopper Plopper, Bubble Popper 150. So, which do you prefer the River2Sea S-Waver or Savage Gear Glide Swimmer? Sebile Magic Swimmer or Lucky Craft Jointed Pointer? I guess I'm just looking for some additional suggestions on glides, topwaters and wakebaits. I know this is a Bass Forum, but I know many of you throw these baits too!
  22. I fish the tail waters around here for big fish. Stripe on the Caney below Center Hill and Musky on the Collins/Great Falls and Melton Hill.
  23. Wish you were closer to me. I'd take you for a ride in this: http://www.golsn.com/listings/recreational_vehicles/boats-water_crafts/3886529.html
