  1. That's the first time I've heard about them being fragile. I've fished Savage Gear before (3d trout) and they hold up well.
  2. Jackson's are made about 20 minutes from me. Awesome! I love my Hobie, if Jackson made a pedal yak, I'd be all over it. Their seats and ergonomics are the best.
  3. Got a few more. Guess, I'm done now. Went and tried to get a Musky yesterday. Couldn't buy a bite. Water was still too cold at below 49.
  4. There are still a couple on the Bay. That's the only spot I could find any.
  5. i wanted this lure the moment I saw this video: Took it by my local shop tried to convince him to start carrying Savage Gear!
  6. I think the hull is the same shape as my SeaArk. They are built like tanks. I've got a 18 footer with a 115. It's fine. Tows a tube too
  7. Fisheries Biologist by trade...hated that kind of work (more specifically the job I got from my degrees) Now, I'm an Environmental Scientist for the State. I inspect underground storage tanks. I also remediate the sites when they leak/spill.
  8. I can't take the plunge on one. The River 2 Sea bubble popper has been dandy for me (I just picked up a huge one). Although, Pop-Rs work great too.
  9. Found them. Offshore Angler (Bass Pro Brand) Saltwater Laser Eyes. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Saltwater-Fishing-Lure-Lot-of-7-New-In-Package-Taktix-Jerk-N-Shrimp-Lazer-Eye-/161212298425 They are also labeled under Taktix lures. I'm pretty happy with them they look great. Nice hooks too. 10. I saw them the other day at the local shop. 1-Revo MGX on 1-Duckett Ghost weighed a whopping 8.3oz.
  11. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lews-Speed-Spool-RH-Baitcast-Freshwater-Fishing-Reel-6-4-1-8-1oz-10BB-SS1H-/281238619798?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item417b20c696 Lews. You can get one for cheap on Ebay. They are very nice.
  12. Bonus was an Okuma Citrix. Picked it up new cheap. Got the 20 dollar rebate going too.
  13. Apparently $300. That's what I spent toady. :eyebrows:
  14. I posted these elsewhere and they said they were Saltwater X-raps. I don't think so. Rapala Lips are labeled usually and the saltwater x-raps I've seen have a shad shape.
  15. Shallow Cranks and Jerks. Flat Raps, Shallow Shad Raps and Rogues catch me as much fish as anything and I enjoy fishing them.

http://www.***.com/Pepper_Custom_Baits_Double_Willow_Spinnerbait/descpage-PPDW.html I use Pepper's. They are made better than most spinners out there despite being some of the cheapest.
  17. The lightest braid I use is zero lb. test! I've only got 50-65lb braid on mine. It's similar to 12-14lb monos.
  18. I know the bottom is a Rapala Saltwater Skitter walk.
  19. I keep mine on 2x2 railings with pvp pipe around them under my deck. It's easy to slide it in and out and the pvc protects it from being scuffed up. Out of the sun and it's fine.

It's really similar to a frenzy vibe, I've not found the manufacturer yet.
  21. OMC 35 HP motors are still being used APBA powerboat racing. Some of them from the 70s. They don't die. I've got a 1990 Evinrude and a 1998 Johnson. I wouldn't trade them for any other brand.
  22. Anything by Seaguar. I actually like most fluoros I've tried with the exception of vanish.
  23. A few posts like this were made a month or more ago (mine was one of them). The overwhelming favorite was the Okuma Guide Select. I picked one up. 7'6" rated for 1-5 oz. It's light and looks great. My shop does over the counter warranty of Okuma and Shimano. I stick with them!
  24. Skinny Dippers for slow steady retreives. Flukes as jerkbaits, and with underspins.
