  1. Welcome back.
  2. Yes. Pats dealt him because of the salary cap.
  3. Yes, a 7' ML/F Abu Villain 2.0. I bought it after a 6'10" version of the same sank to the bottom of Ponkapog pond. I really didn't think the extra 2" would be much different and I couldn't have been more wrong. I use it as a Ned rig and drop shot rod. C'est la vie.
  4. Congratulations! You deserve it.
  5. I'll vouch for Salty ... he's an encyclopedia of fishing and a genuinely nice guy. I fished two or three days with him in March in 'your' neighborhood and he very graciously shared his knowledge and taught me a bunch about electronics. He's very skilled with a jerk bait too...
  6. Congratulations on a great outing, despite the wind! It beats the heck out of my 4+ hours at Ponkapog today where I managed a single dink pickerel on a desperation cast with a wacky rigged Senko on the way back to my truck. The wind was 6-8 mph from the north, water temps 50.x, and air pressure was 29.6. For sure I've got to hit the lottery and move to the Cape!
  7. A second vote for keeping rather than replacing. My mother has my ‘09 17” Macbook Pro. I maxed out the RAM and it’s still running like the day I bought it. I have a ‘14 Macbook Pro with a SSD, which runs nearly as fast as new models.
  8. I have a couple Kistler MH's that throw 1/8 - 3/4 oz baits. One is a F and the other is a MF action. I use the MF action for medium diving and lipless cranks, and the F for jigs, creatures, and larger soft baits. They'd be my #1 pick if I had to choose one, and only one, rod to fish.
  9. It's pretty well been said from the membership already. I use a 6.5" curved forcep. You should find them on Amazon for less than $10.
  10. It was a little windy to launch my kayak, so I took a M/C ride to recon some local waters. I found a new spot, which I think is Mill Pond in Cohasset/Scituate off 3A. It looks small and has a nice easy launch. Mr. Aquarium might know more on the subject (hint hint... Mike). Hedges Pond's gates are locked and there's a notice from the town that all amenities/facilities are closed because of the Covid-19 risk, and when I rode by Great Herring, it looked more like the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks for the input and welcome to the forum.
  11. Normal TRD's work pretty well. It's a 1/0 hook and sometimes takes a little work to get on straight, at least for me, and stays on nicely. A little super glue makes it permanent. I've not used TRD craws on it.
  12. I use Lifted Jigs EWG jig heads for weedless Ned applications. They work pretty good.
  13. If we play ball this year, I expect you guys to be in the mix. My Red Sox... I'll be happy if they're a .500 club this year. Again, welcome to the forum, and best of luck fishing this spring.
  14. ... waiting for LadiMopar to report on her tournament ... was it an ice fishing tourney or not?
  15. Congratulations on your new Ned rig, rig... Now go get your new PB on it!
  16. Luckily, our Governor’s not shut down fishing. Groups of 10+ might be an issue, but all waters are open as far as I know.
  17. If you don’t have a garage to back the kayak into, do you have a tarp to cover it?
  18. Welcome to the best bass family on the web! Since I’m from Boston, I have to ask... YANKEES or METS?
  19. Trilene XL. 8 # on my spinning rod and 12 # on my baitcaster. If I don’t have my dedicated topwater reels mounted, I’ll use whatever I have with me, be it braid or Yozuri Hybrid. Very rarely will I use fluorocarbon for topwater baits.
  20. 3-5”... should be a cake-walk for your Ram! Dress warm, pack your best rain gear, tie on a jerk bait, square bill, and Keitech and catch a limit bag! Best of luck
  21. My Kistlers are made in USA. My Abu's, BPS, ***, and Fenwicks are made everywhere else.
  22. My office, built in 1900.
  23. I gained two pounds reading your post! Happy Easter!
  24. Gucci is ALMOST as expensive some baitcast combos our membership own!
