  1. This works, and for almost any bait really. I don't think you can beat a Booyah frog. Strike Kings ain't bad either. On some frogs that won't walk good, I just trim one leg shorter than the other.
  2. Haha I always feel bad getting pee on the back, but hey what can you do? There's this guy who is a non boater and he is absolutely rowdy!! They say he was a golden glove back in the day ( which makes sense to why he is the way he is). Anyways he took a **** off the back of some guys boat and it was the runs and I guess it was allllll over the boat from what I heard from the boater lol I don't think I could deal with all that...
  3. I met my boater in a Target parking lot to get in with him. We left, got almost an hour down the road, get a phone call from another club member who also met his non boater at the same location, saying my car was parked right smack dab in the middle of the parking lot isle lol. We HAD to turn back to keep from getting towed and sure enough it was right in the middle of the path. Talk about feelimg like crap. He handled it better than I think I would have, but man I just felt so stupid and bad about it. And in the end he wouldn't take my money....lol
  4. Exactly why I asked if he fished heavy cover. Definitely drop the line down for a drop shot. 12lb even would be fine. I would only use 20lb with really heavy cover. Read up on some of the drop shot threads on here.
  5. I've heard of them. Did you go? What did you think?
  6. I went to my local tackle shop today and they had a couple of the prototypes. I'm not sure how much of a change they made from these, but I'm certain the blank is probably the same as the model coming out. I will say I have never owned a Gloomis. Anyways they look nice, but it felt very tip heavy. I'm sure this would level out with a reel on it, but it did feel a little heavy compared to other rods of theirs I have held. They would definitely match up to the new JDM zillion 9:1 too!! This was a smart move on their part as I think this is the most important price point for a company to target.
  7. They are a little stiffer in the tip so you might want to keep that in mind when choosing actions and powers.
  8. A tube!! Ive learned you cant go wrong with a 3.5inch tube.

Whats those lizards that flare their necks? Seems like it would look like one of those lol This actually sounds like a good idea. I may even try this
  10. Ive found it to be an awful experience trying to wing it with flouro on a topwater. It just doesnt work good. With thag said, you COULD just cast and reel thr frog in. Doesnt work for me much, but i have gotten bit that way. Do you fish heavy cover with a dropshot?
  11. I did!! And I dont really even have anything to throw it with lol They actually made a post today on their Facebook saying that everything was on schedule to be delivered 6-8 weeks from order date.
  12. Lol I really didn't have much more than some yard casting with the first one I got for Christmas, and I told myself I have to get another one. Then they ran out and I had been trying to find one for the same $300 price and I did on TT. I ordered some os7's for one of them yesterday. Can't wait to try them out as these will be my first!!
  13. Fresh start for 2015. I've had the SX and a couple of the Abu rods, but everything else is brand new.
  14. How I found out was finding out they don't even have bearings in the knobs of the 100. And obviously not supporting them either. It's no big deal, I had no plans to change those knobs but still.
  15. Well I know what to get for the stradic. I was just wanting to see what that septom knob felt like on it. Then I didn't see a screw on the core knob and I just haven't seen that before. I think I am going to change the knobs out though I hate that big eva one.
  16. Finally found my own answer. I guess you have to buy the whole handle assembly? That sucks!
  17. So I was going to see if I like a septom knob on my stradic 3000, instead of that big eva one it comes with. Annnnd there is no screw to take the knobs off the Core? Is this not possible?
  18. I finallly found another brand new Px R, and it just so happened to come today on my birthday! I have to pay the rest of my Alphas SV when its ready, but im done. I have to stop buying rods and reels. My kids will be wearing hoodies and jeans to the pool!! Ha
  19. I really liked mine for just starting out. You can get them really cheap too. Honestly though, and a lot of people said this before me, but go with a Tatula. I ended up getting one and realized everyone was right. For the money you can't beat it. It just doesn't palm as well as the SX.
  20. If you do think maybe the line color is keeping you from catchin fish...just tie a leader of flourocarbon or mono. I just don't think you can beat the price of Power Pro. It's a good line that ALOT of people use.
  21. Like most I woud rather have a great rod and good reel for bottom contacting lures. Everything else I would rather get a great reel and good rod. I am close to getting everything equal though!!
  22. GYCB Shad shape worm
