  2. AbuGarcia silvermax combo at Walmart $60. Use it for 1.5 squarebills.
  3. make that X3 i picked up a couple last year and love them.BPS runs sales a few times a year on them.
  4. Our local Dicks Sporting Goods had Berkley powerbait twitchtails for $1.48 a pack all colors. Needless to say i wont be needing any for awhile...
  5. I bought a Shimano Sedona 2500 three years ago for my drop shot setup and its been a great reel. My buddy has 3 Pflueger President reels all good. Both are well made but the Pflueger has twice as many bearings
  6. Mine made it one trip to lake....never again!!!
  7. $10 is top for me also. Fishing partner turned me on to Poe crankbaits d*** him.
  8. KVD 1.5 squarebill-- gizzard shad
  9. I wish hunting season lasted longer. I love having lake to myself!!!
  10. Still have my Zebco 33 my grandad gave me and some of his old lures and bream poles--brings a smile everytime
  11. I throw a KVD 1.5 gizzard shad a lot in fall,i start at main lake points close to creek channels and work back to end of coves. Great time of year to be on water when everyone has hunting on minds and weather is cool. Gonna be a while till fall gets here. Right now we been using a shakey head with zoom junebug red trick worm and drop shot with 4"worm in this heat.
  12. http://m.basspro.com/EZ-Lure-Retriever-Kit/product/52869/ I use alot of Poes cranks at $10ea. and so does my fishing partner. This has saved us a lot of $$$$$.When you get hung up try to get straight above it and hold your line semi tight and drop retriever from several feet above lure up and down. Works most of the time after a few knocks.
  13. Nice i saw those. I take my ultralite out to a small pond and drainage around town for quick easy trips sometimes. Zoom fluke jr in white ice and t-rig a 4"worm with 1/8.oz weight 6#line. Lots of fun
  14. x2 on article i read that when first posted and also using two hands for casting.I read several other articles on internet also. I strectch during work week and before, during, after fishing. I also picked up 2 carbonlite rods from BassPro and love them. Im going to change out my others as time allows. They run sales on them during year a few times for $80. I can now use tv remote and drink coffee without screaming.
  15. I dont mine but do when i taught wife and one of the kids. Awesome seeing their face when they get that first worm fish. Its still my goto bait,i love that "tap" its kept me hooked !!!
  16. I goto a small urban drainage sometimes and it works well. Zoom makes a fluke jr. and Gulp has several small sizes of minnow also.
  17. I bet that clouser gets some more drift time now. I always keep one of my fly rods stowed when im on my boat...you never now when your going to run into some risers :-)
  18. Havoc grass pig standard size
  19. Jason hats off to you. I do the same for any fish !!
  20. [quote name="CDobber" I did actually go to the store the other day looking for a stronger, mono/flouro type leader when I knew I was replacing my steel leader opted to try the Fireline, but found it next to impossible to try and do an Albright on it (an unfamiliar knot to me to begin with) as the line did not want to wrap cleanly.....
  21. Anytime i fish a t-rig i always tie direct to lure. You get way more feel for the bait and what its doing. Something i started doing years ago is to keep one finger resting on line and keep as little slack as possible so you can detect light strikes. Also keep an eye on line sometimes it just moves sideways when a fish picks it up and you never feel it. Its by far my favorite way to fish(love that tap)!!! My main setup is 3/16.oz weight with 4/0 hook and 6-7.5" worm. Good Luck :-)
  22. Another vote for T-rig. Most time a 3/16.oz with 7.5" worm is in hand or close by ;-)
  23. When i was younger didn't bother me to fish all day without a bite. Over 40 now and it does bother me alot. I'll give it half a day without a bite and im out
