  2. So many i count the pounds. I have so many duffle bags in my bedroom its not funny and i just bought more at BPS sunday....sad but true
  3. I prefer a medium fast. I see the Carbonlites also come in a 6'6" M fast,7' M fast,6'8" M xfast. I have a couple bc Carbonlites and they are great rods. Will be adding another during rod trade-in.
  4. j-knot for me. It was stronger than seaguar and uni-uni for me. Never tried alberto
  5. Got to fish all day with this reel yesterday and now I know what I've been missing. Best way I can describe it is "effortless" to cast. As my other reels need replacing it will be Lews.
  6. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Lews-Tournament-Pro-Speed-Spool-Baitcast-Fishing-Reel-TP1SH-7-1-1-/111290031621 I got one from Sportmans Outfitters $149 shipped priority, very nice people to deal with.
  7. I checked 3 walmarts and the only deal was one had soft plano tackle bags marked down from $42 to $15 . No other real deals to speak of.

  10. March 7-11 On sale for $89.97 and take another $15 off with a working rod you bring to trade so $74.97
  11. I've got two Carbonlites and will be adding another during the rod trade-in. 6'9" MH xfast use it for t-rig plastics 3/16.oz weight with smaller craws and 7.5-10" worms.Love that rod!! 7' MH fast good all round rod i use for chatterbaits, jigs, larger t-rigs,traps etc... Both are regular guides. *edit*Only negative is the placement of hook hanger. I bend mine in a little otherwise it will catch line sometimes during cast.
  12. I lived in FL for several years and loved it!! Very diverse freshwater fishing and salt to enjoy...
  13. Well I finally treated myself to a nice reel(tax return$$) a Lews Tournament Pro 7.1:1 for my shaky head and light duty t-rig rod.Took it out with 10# line and was throwing a 1/8.oz shaky head with 6"straight worm. I set two brakes on and the mag to 3.5 and with very little effort could hit 30-32yds i'm sure with 3/16.oz I could really put it out there without even trying. My old elbows are gonna thank me . I picked it up for $149 shipped priority mail from Sportmans Outfitters http://www.ebay.com/itm/360837125892?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 i called and spoke with them before purchase and very nice to deal with. I think a BB1 pro might be in my near future for my crankbait rod from them
  14. Work days would be 2hrs in AM before crews show up

  17. also if they are can you use the rod trade-in on them?
  18. I like "Fishing Trip Log" from google play store.
  19. X2 FWIW cant stand Eagle Claw !!!
  20. Since Lews came out with the new BB1 pro I don't know which reel would be best. I was under the impression that the spool weight has a lot to do with that and since the BB1 holds more line I was already planning on a TP but the description for the BB1 pro says its new brake system is best for lighter lures. So I don't know Going to be casting t-rigs and shakey heads with auw of 3/16 and at the most 3/8.oz Thanks for the help guys
  21. Did well on them last year with water temps in low 50's. Black/Blue with Havoc grass pig as trailer.
  22. X3 on that combo.I'd choose the 7.1:1 reel ratio. I've got a 6'9" MH xfast Carbonlite i use for my soft plastics in the 1/2.oz range and it works very well. Its my second favorite rod for plastics i own. I would also highly recommend Seaguar InvizX line on whatever combo you go with.
