  1. Hi Chris I know this post is several years old but wondering if you could tell me how you wired up switches to the controller. i see this alarm is still available and would like to wire up 3 hatches on my boat. Thank You Steve
  2. Funny I've caught numerous large catfish on them. OP: I never throw them unless I'm in my boat or if a buddy is doing same in his. They have a high snag ratio for sure

  7. Can't stress enough also how important having a light or at least glow sticks at dusk or after is. Running mid lake last Summer I just happen to see 2 yaks in the moonlight in the channel. VERY BAD and disturbing situation....
  8. When i learned years ago the most helpful thing to me in the beginning was to turn my head and watch your backcast. It's all about timing and mechanics, not power. Something to consider when you get your reel is get one that has interchangeable spools available so in future you can switch between rods if you choose.
  9. I lived there 20yrs ago so alot has changed. But I used to go a little south of town into the Apalachicola National Forest and you can bank fish and also wade fish some of the ponds (hard sand bottoms). I used a berkley powerbait 4"-6" worm in pumpkinseed color texas rigged. Flukes, trickworms(shad color) rigged weightless and fished thru grass also. Check out Dog Lake Tower rd. and Lost Lake rd. on Google maps seems those had some ponds I use to fish. If you go let me know I'd like to here and see how it looks now. Good Luck

  17. Fishing partner broke a bass off. A couple cast later he caught same bass with his jig in mouth...one hungry or mad bass!!!
  18. Got a stereo. But since your space is limited take a look at Phillips SBP 1100 mini speakers i have these and use them with my phone. Picked them up at Walmart or Walgreens.Great for up close when you dont wont headphones(they are small so if your running motor or got several friends together its not going to be loud enough). One thing i did was download a equalizer app for my phone that really helped.
  19. Retrieve for me. Also agree with A-Jay about trying a different trailer. I use KVD in sexy shad and bluegill with Havoc 5" grass pig with 3/4" cut off head. It gives jig a nice action.
