  1. I think that what you said may be true of certain waterways but every body of water is a bit different as is each bass different.. some still cruise with smaller bass, some go solo in ambush, some cruise with fish their size which like you said may not be many of
  2. it depends on the conditions really but yes its worth tossing a few more and/or following up with a more subtle bait you dont leave a bite to look for a bite (or rather its not wise to) there may be a small school there or it may be prime location usually after a catch, the fish will spook esp if it were wounded and the bite dies down a bit there then its better to look elsewhere and return later happened kind of to me this morning.. first time out this season worked an area got a huge hit and lost it went back from a different angle an hour later and lost a 5 pounder as she broadsided me near the surface (sharpen your hooks=very important)
  3. This time of year for the ones lurking in the deep, I'd go big and small .. since its crystal clear you got the advantage of sight and can get feedback to see what theyre preferrin' and if they are even in the mood small drop shot small crawdad jig spoons vertically jigged & dropped big huddlestons Im assuming yer in a boat
  4. I know how ya feel I had food poisoning one day and diarhea and vomiting essentially felt like I was gonna die with NO energy so I know how ya feel. I too went to my boss told her slumped on the chair that I was going home (wasnt even sure I was gonna make it home thats how bad I felt) She asked if I could stay awhile and give her a status report LOL .. I knew this was not a job I wanted to keep after that In your situation, if you really want to keep that job, show up with a doctor's slip.. that should shut her up and give it to the HR dept or her boss as well.. but really that is not a kind of a person you need to work for..
  5. At least once a week.. and I will go at anytime I have a few hours free and at least work the banks and soak up the scenery
  6. 4-5 pounders here in NJ fight the hardest often with multiple jump attempts The 6+'s here I've had pull hard for a little and then its over.. one in a while one puts up a better fight but not like the athletic 4-5
  7. I really see fall as the #3 season to fish behind Spring and Summer.. esp for bank fishermen. The fish are all over and change their minds constantly.
  8. imo pistol grips dont cast well and thusly are hard on the elbows
  9. a secrets no longer one when you tell someone .. then it becomes "news"
  10. ditto with last 3 posts.. and I'm in the dropshot is boring camp as well but understand if $$$ is on the line it may have to be done but not before i try other lures
  11. ditto as above.. and I use snaps for most lures

Good work.. its messy but theres bass in them there hills!
  14. helps to be in mexico too but seriously theres locating bass and then theres locating bigger bass
  15. Short strike and throwin hooks are different problems short strike means you gotta concentrate and lightning set amongst other things throwin the hook means you need to keep that line tight even when it jumps.. while its throwin a tight line and your rod should keep that line taut and the hook in
  16. Booyah baits are a tradeoff imo.. I personnal love their stuff theyre reasonably priced and are built to catch fish nothing lasts forever getting hammered by big hungry fish constantly it doesnt last as long as other brands but they are build to catch for sure and mostly my war eagle sits on its perch cause I've been throwin mostly booyah for the last couple years
  17. if you play with it and find the big willow blade dont have good spin momentum, I'd replace the swivel with a ball bearing swivel You can also try running it in single willow configuration sometimes the second willow will interfere with the spin of the main willow The main blade doesnt look that big to me it is a good size
  18. Could be aggressive crappie at your fav spots may wish to try other locations If you are sure its bass, you need to tune your hookset to hairtrigger and nail the set as soon as you feel the tick as fast as you can
  19. steady retrieve pause and go sharp pops I had the fullsize version but wasnt all that impressed and returned it Already have plenty of effective topwaters that cost a fraction of it
  20. spinnerbaits pretty much all season (except winter)
  21. If I lost a $3 lure every other bite I'd have to do somethin about that Fishing equipment and all else included is expensive enuf
  22. I wouldnt wait for the weeds to die to fish fall transition.. if you notice fish changing their patterns from the usual summer patterns and its late summer.. the transition is underway be cognizant and adjust In my area, the transition is going on
