Five pounds 14 ounces. I live in Colorado where 10 pound bass are uncommon and a 6 is a very good catch. My biggest bass is just under 7.

I like the spro jr. in natural green frog. I throw it on 50 pound power pro.

Thanks guys. Do your spro frogs sink too after about half a cast to one cast?

My spro bronze eye jr. frogs are sinking because they fill with water really bad. I am using 50 pound power pro braid. Do you guys have any advice to help me stop the sinking. Caulk? Tape? Bubble gum?

Are the rage tails heavy enough to easily throw on a casting reel?

Those are some of my very favorite spinnerbait and jig trailers.

When do you guys add a plastic trailer to your spinnerbaits? Do they work better than a plain spinnerbait or just under certain conditions. What are your favorite trailers?

They are good bass lures. Banana cranks like wally divers and tail dancers are really overlooked for bass and they do work well. The deep taildancers are good deep running cranks.

I almost always rig a fluke with the hook in the belly slit with a 3/0 EWG gammy for the 5" super fluke or similiar sized jerkbaits.

The magic swimmer is good in the shallows but it doesn't go down very deep. I need the fast sinking version.

I like a gold bladed buzzer. But I also like black or red plated ones as well. Silver is okay too.

Probably a little big IMO. I do best on the bronze eye junior and I hope they come out with a bronze eye popper junior.

I catch probably 40% of my bass on senkos but I am good with other presentations, like poppers, buzzbaits, frogs, spinnerbaits, flukes/sluggos, and other soft plastics. Senkos don't work well when fish are really deep, or the water is really off color. Are they one of the best, if not THE best, bass lure around? I sure think so. But I have had lots of times where other lures outproduced them. But in reasonably clear water that's under under 15 feet deep and not totally choked with weeds, it's just about the best thing you can throw much of the time.

I have never bassed that deep, but I think heavier drop shotting would be the way to go.

When your fishing pretty good cover, pegging your weight helps keep the bait more snagless and to punch through heavy weedgrowth. I think it gives a bait with a flappy tail such as a brush hawg or ribbon tail worm a more frantic tail action too.

The mad maxx has a drain feature to keep the frog from taking on too much water.

Senkos are my go to plastic and during the day they are often my go to bait period. I do believe they are a numbers bait but they will catch pigs too. I think many pros catch them on senkos but say they caught them on other things so fish won't get conditioned to them.

5" and bigger senkos are good big fish baits too, though I've got some of my biggest bass on 4" senkos. Jigs with a pork trailer are great as well, as are brush hawgs and even spinnerbaits.

If bass are in the area you will usually always catch at least one on plastic lures if your fishing them at the right depth and speed. And as the others have said, confidence is HUGE! Now that I have confidence in certain lures I used to not do well on (spinnerbaits, lipless cranks, frogs, and buzzbaits) I now catch lots of fish on them. I swear the confidence thing is like magic.

I use a steady, medium retrieve while letting it flutter down a bit every now and then, and then ripping it forward with the rod tip. Making contact with cover does help, and the tactic the others have shared about ticking and ripping them above grass certainley works. They are a great search bait because you can fish them at any depth.
