I don't drink, but I know a little bit about cigars. I typically pair with coffee, root beer or water. I smoke 3-6 cigars a day....sometimes more when fishing. The last 5 boxes I bought (in the last month) were from Tatuaje, La Palina, and Crowned Heads, (and H Uppman and Por Larranaga from vendors not 'local'.) For fishing, I look for some specific qualities in my cigars: little bit cheaper so I won't be upset if it ends up in the water or the bottom of the boat;, cigar that continues to burn well and taste good if I have to leave it hanging out of my mouth for minutes at a time; and I prefer a box press that won't roll around on the boat seat if I set it down. Famous Nicaraguan 3000 fits that description nearly perfectly.

I've only good things to say about Alberto. I've had it fail once -- and that knot was a good two months old -- no excuse for not having retied it long before it did.

Just last week I stopped at a rest area 50 miles from home (10 miles from the lake) when I realized my wallet (with license, ID, driver license, etc.) was still sitting on the kitchen table.

I always wrap/tie with braid as well; whether its backing to braid, or braid to leader. I tie exactly like @lakeannaangler's photo above and have never had a problem.

Generally, I spray all my non-braid spools (mostly Yo-Zuri) the night before. I am positive that it makes a difference; both on spinning and casting reels.

Nine inch Okeechobee is one of the first two big worms I reach for. (Other is a ten inch SK Rage Tail Anaconda in red shad.) I've got some six inch Fat Max, but I haven't caught enough (or, really, fished them enough) to be excited about them. My wife did catch her PB (6.3) on six inch Okeechobee Fat Max, so she's a big fan.

I'm with you, OP. The descriptions are a little lacking. I love his jigs, and they're the only ones I buy, but I recommend that you get a few different shaped heads and find out what works for you. I fish a lot of wood and grass, and have found the Arky shape head to be best for me. If I fished more rock than wood, I'd probably have settled on something more football-y for most applications. I usually choose from the Storm series mostly Arky and Dredge.

Since I saw underwater footage videos of bass staring at lures for up to a minute before taking them, I was able to leave a lure in one place for about 3 seconds....no patience whatsoever....now I can wiggle a drop shot or shakey head for at least 6 or 7 seconds at a time. My light cranking rod has 12# Yo Zuri....landed a 40# flathead with it on Saturday...I will continue to sing its praises. I also recommend KVD line lube - especially helpful on spinning reel YZ Jig rods have braid (20 on lighter jigs and 40 on flippin rods)

I use 'Big Ugly Plug Knockers' from eBay. I HIGHLY recommend them. Paid for themselves many times over. I wouldn't. I have a Sienna that I love. I also have a Symetre that I have a love/hate relationship with. The Sienna is a horse. Always strong and faithful, never given me a problem. The Symetre is much smoother; both the drag and the retrieve. However, the Symetre is temperamental; the 'binding' issues that I get, particularly in warmer weather are intermittent, but maddening. In general, however, my 'higher end' spinning reels offer a smoothness that is very satisfying, but don't necessarily fish any better than a RELIABLE cheaper reel, IMHO. The exception, of course, is those reels (at any cost, really) that have hurky-jerky drag. Those will lose you fish eventually.

Spent number of hours Friday, all between Ryans Dam and Fountainhead. Picked up a couple quick two pounders and thought it was going to be a great day. Sadly, just a couple dinks after that. Yesterday I took the kayak from BRM. 10 min in, I had 2.5 and was excited about the prospects. Didn't catch another bass all day. Maybe I should just go out for an hour each time. The wife would appreciate that. I did get about a half hour of excitement, however. Stuck my crankbait into a log....but the log started moving. Slow enough at first that I wasn't certain what was going on. Then he took off. Dragged me all up and down Bull Run for 20 or more minutes. I flagged down a passing boat to ask if they had a net. Good thing they did...not sure how I was going to get this in my kayak.

My mistake. I thought the info might help whatever you're trying to learn. For me, I do better with informed, first person opinions, reviews and experiences than I do with a 'poll' of limited choices that will almost certainly include selections by people who haven't even used the option they chose. How many people do you suppose have tried all six listed brands and can make a choice that gives you any valuable info? Apologies. I'll butt out of your 'poll'. For the poll, I chose 'other'. But honestly, the only listed name above that I'd used before was Oakley. So my poll choice isn't going to add much value. I got mine for $40 from a tent outside the Army BX. Lifetime warranty and better than any of the Oakleys that I've owned.

I've seen that before also. TBH, since I started using belly weighted hooks, I never thought about it again. I'm sure you could get a lot more weight on there that way....and maybe drag the bottom with the fluke more reliably upright, but if I'm doing that, I'm more likely just trig/crig it anyway.

Best $75 rod I've ever owned. By far. I use it primarily for bottom contact - lighter stuff than I throw on MHF jig rod; perfect for a 3/8 trig or similar

No clue if this would work for you, but I've spent the last few weeks slaying shad with a spinner at the end of the line....and a shad dart about 12-14 inches above. Not sure why you couldn't put a crappie jig a foot above your spinner. May even get real lucky -- I've had a couple doubles and that's a blast.

Bill Lewis makes a floater lipless that was a good confidence builder for me when I wanted to start throwing them around snotty grass and tangled wood. I still use one on occasion when I want to pull a lipless over shallow, woody bars

All my leaders are Yo-Zuri...I know you asked for fluoro specifically, but I prefer YZ Hybrid to any fluoro that I've tried as leader material.
