Red And White Crankbait?
Funny to think about....It seems like back in the '60's, three or four out of five of my father's and grandfather's bass lures were red and white.....Bass Oreno's, Creek Chubs, Jitterbugs, Daredevils, etc.

Elite 3X Di Or Elite 4X Chirp?
TTT I've only started researching electronics for my new kayak and my head is spinning. I'm topping this only to empathize and second the request for plain language assistance.

How Long Are Bass Off The Feed Post C&r
Reading Bill Murphy's book, I learned that those sub three pound bass are like teenagers and might just repeatedly do the same stupid thing for an easy piece/meal/thrill, but those older and wiser and bigger bass are a lot harder to fool more than once in a short span of time. I fish alone a lot and have lots of time to wonder about the same things..... How long before that bass that bit, but didn't get hooked, will hit another lure?....same lure?.....different one? Does a bass that gets hooked and dragged any distance (especially all the way into the boat): somehow alert the other fish...communicate distress somehow....release some sort of adrenaline-like oil or something? If so, does it get on the lure?.....maybe for the next 5 minutes until it gets rinsed off, the next fish or two that you set it by can smell that it was used for nefarious purposes? Do the lunkers tap on the shoulders of the dinks and say "check out that cool looking worm over there" .....just for kicks? If I get lazy and I rig a lizard half-azzed and a bit crooked and spins circles on the retrieve, do the bass roll on the bottom laughing at me?

Yamamoto Midasu Lipless Crankbait
Looks sharp. His lipped cranks and his topwaters have that hologram effect going on, too. I've got a couple but haven't thrown them yet. Not yet sure if the visuals are for us or the fish.

Travel Rod/reel Combo (Telescopic Or 3 Piece)
I drive most of my business trips for just that reason...however, last year I didn't -- so I went to Walmart and got a $40 spinning combo, used it for a week and a half and on my last day there, I handed it to a young kid at the park when I left.

Handling A Bass With Treble Hooks (Rookie Question)
After my trip to the ER, I bought a rubber net and always have it in the boat now. I also bought a Fish Grip, but being a Tool Time kinda guy, I got the large one. Anyone want it in trade for a small one? As to the anchor ban; I imagine that Lester Holt would be pretty upset....I mean he just got in the chair

Bunch Of New Products, Keitech, Strike King, Rage,
I hadn't seen Crazy Flappers before. They look great. How long are they and how many in a package?

Trolling Motor?
Thrust rating is pretty straightforward as to how it equates to moving a boat on the water. What is the significance and/or difference of voltage rating as it relates to trolling motors?

Taking My 88 Year Old Grandpa Fishing.
I can't get my grandfather into a boat anymore, so I do the next best thing. I talk to him about fishing. Every time I talk to him. We reminisce about times we fished together...or fishing trips from his youth. He sent me to his basement and had me take some old lures and rods, etc. I fished his old cranks -- I took pics of the bass that I caught with them and took him the pictures. He can't even see them, I don't think, but it makes his week! If you can get him to a public pier all the better, but I bet talking to him about fishing would be nearly as good.

What Lure Caught Your Biggest Bass In 2014 ?
Top three all on Rage Tails. Could be either because they are that great....or perhaps because I was throwing them 80% of the time. 6.5 and 5.75 on green pumpkin Cut-R. One 6.3 on Bama Craw Structure Bug Three different lakes, come to think of it

Fenwick Elite Tech
I picked up a couple of Fenwick rods from Fisherman's Factory Outlet over the winter. I 'settled' for 2-piece rods, but they appear to have some 1-piece rods in stock right now for a couple of the models. I haven't seen better prices anywhere.

Rod And Reel
Nothing to fear. Ask away. Aside from the spelling miscue, I assume some of the snarkiness was because you may not have realized it, but there's a very wide range of swimbaits. You can imagine that two different rods would probably be called for if you wanted to throw a 1/8 oz storm bait and a 12" Osprey. Not offering a budget range also opens you up to rods ranging from $30 to $300+. If money is not a concern at all, then it helps to state it -- since most anyone will have some sort of 'price reasonableness' filter built in to recommendations.

Storm Rattle Jigging Craw
Bought a package years ago. I've thrown one a few times, but never got bit. They look so good that I still carry them thinking that some day they're going to be exactly what the bass are wanting that day. Now thanks to subscriptions, I've got Mad Dads Cracklin Craw and something else. They all look good....but they're all still in my tackle box while I'm tossing jigs for some reason.

Rookie From Va
That's sad. And surprising. I've had very good luck from banks and piers in Gunston Cove and always assumed that it was just the tip of a nearby iceberg. Just yesterday I was looking over last year's tournament results for Potomac Teams and was shocked at how light the winners were and how many teams don't even limit some days. I've had afternoons on the pier at Belvoir that would have been in the money most weeks. I just assumed that the rest of the river would be remarkably better.

Storing Jigs Made With Rubber
I've done two things since I first had melted collars: 1. I wire tie almost everything 2. I got rid of ALL Elaztech plastics...at rare times I miss the durability and the buoyancy, but not enough to carry them anymore

Trolling Motor 101
Not right away.... Down the road, you may want to look at a second battery. May not be until after you have to row or paddle a mile up wind a couple times, but at some point in the future.....

Trolling Motor 101
I have a couple of Walmart Everstart batteries, a 24 and a 27. The 27 lasted longer when new, but weighs probably about 6 or 8 pounds more than the 24. After two years, they both last about the same amount of time...6 to 9 hours on the water depending on wind and distance. I use this charger http://www.amazon.com/MinnKota-MK-105P-Portable-Battery-Charger/dp/B000MN8SEK - been real happy with it -- though I did have one fail, MinnKota sent me a new one pretty fast.

What Would You Like To See Invented For Fishing
I've got one of those. A DT-6 in molting blue craw -- I've broken it off twice and it came back to me....once from the mouth of a rather large catfish that I couldn't land....that time it came back a ways down the shoreline and a good many minutes later....and once from some submerged timber...popped up well after I'd given up hope of seeing it again...not very often they come back after lodging in branches like that
