  1. And some people don't recognize sarcasm.
  2. You should tell him whats on your mind, but always remember rule #1(kind of tacky, but so true): Bro's before ho's. A very simple rule that if always followed by you and your buddies, 90% of your problems will go away.
  3. Avid! Put your shirt back on! sheesh! Also, seriously, why are you wearing a bra man? now thats just creepy...
  4. My hookups have improved on the gill if you give it just a split second before you set. I don't do this with any other baits, but it seems to work on the gill. Alot like a spook. After the hit, just a second for the rod to load and then swing. Secondly, a big fish that wants that bait, will get it and it won't be hard to hook her. I feel that the gill gets a good number of little fish that just slap at it. So everytime you feel a bite, swing like its a ten, but if you miss, assume it wasn't A tube of megastrike will probably last about 2.79684684 years. Try as I might, I can't ever seem to use one all the way up. They either go bad in the 110degree sun, or i lose it....or my punk buddies jack 'em. I use a different scent alot of the time. I think that our fish are starting to realize that the prickly trout that yank you out of the water always smell like garlic. Probably more of a confidence thing anyway. Whatever you get, get something very sticky and slimy. Those water thin spray on ones won't do you a lick of good. Keep at it dude, it will happen.
  5. Thats it?
  6. I'm with you burley, I WILL NOT spend my money there.
  7. Nope, and neither is bed fishing, live bait, and fishing during the week. That was for you Fish Of course braided line is still sporting.
  8. Avid, don't you see?!?!? Now you can throw that 12" senko on your swimbait rod too! Thats sweet....i guess. I suppose its like alot of my girlfriends. When you first lose them you're bummed, but when you get them back its pretty obvious that they are scummy, plus you can just go right back out and get the newer hotter model anyway!!!
  9. Glenn!!! I can help! Corvette, rogaine, mumblebluepillmumble. HA HA HA I hope that doesn't earn me an obligatory banning!!!!
  10. Well, that is how it works in humans at least...
  11. Process of Elimanation. Saltwater...sharks, huge waves, pirates, aliens... no thanks Catfish... stink bait stinks. Bluegill...spiny little punks, with mouths so small you can't get the hook out. Crappie... but you gotta clean 'em! Walleye... I like my water in a liquid form thanks. Perch...yawn... Trout... I think you have to wear a stupid hat or vest to fish for trout. Bass... Topwater, killing anything that will fit, makin me lose sleep, great selection of expensive baits, the hot rod of fishing boats, and I'm surrounded by lakes that kick 15+'s...word.
  12. You can find me throwin a hammer at a nail 5 days a week
  13. sounds like a fancy way of saying "woman" to me I'm gonna pay for that one!
  14. Its a freakin broom stick! It has the unique abilitity to throw the absolute heaviest baits available ( at least "on the market") I don't use it much. Just Hudds and the big 3:16 hardbaits. It was my first "dedicated" swimbait rod. Its heavy, and uber stiff. But its durable, throws heavy stuff with ease, affordable, and it plain gets the job done! You will probably have a hard time throwing matt's baits, mission fish under 7", and light hard baits with it. But your hud will fly like you have never seen before! Totally worth the price and a good rod too.
  15. I've thrown the 7'11 Okuma a little bit. I dig it. I like the action of the Crucials, Redingtons, and Powells (have not go to fish it, just handle it) a little more though. I'll probably end up with another crucial, or powell, but I am interested in the dobyns. Have you got to use one of Mike's?
  16. Bass Pro shops is junk. HORRIBLE selection and snail slow shipping.
  17. Shimano Crucial 7'11" Heavy, Shimano Calcutta 400B, 25lb Pline CXX, slow Okuma Guide Select 7'6" EX Heavy, Shimano Cardiff 400A " " Okuma Guide Select 7'6" Heavy, " " Looking for another rod though.
  18. Thanks for taking the time Fish! I'm gonna start screwing with the camera when i get a chance. My pictures are always a crap shoot. Sometimes I get a jewel, sometimes a pile of turds. Any word in the replica department? Jay
  19. Naw, the Calcutta TE is 350, the 400B (which I use) is only $219 http://www.***.com/descpageRLCSHIMANO-SHC47.html
  20. I don't think it matters what reel you choose for baits less than 5 or 6 inches. a curado 300 would be pretty sweet for those. For larger baits, a calcutta 400 is where its at.
  21. I would use the opposite line of thinking as Raul. Your not looking for more fish, you are looking for that one good one. I would say the bluegill or the 6" bait.
  22. That is awesome man! What an incredibly LONG fish! Still weighing 15-12 POST SPAWN makes her a freakin donkey!!! Congrats!
  23. I'm only concerned because once that fuel comes out, it just pourns down into my motor. I figure that probably isnt a good thing
  24. I have an 87 merc 90horse 2 stroke. I had the cover off replacing plugs today. When I pump the fuel bulb fuel comes out of a brass plug that has a "weep hole" in it and also out of the throttle body itself. Happens on all three carbs but the top carb has twice the flow of the other two. This is in the throttle closed position. I assumed that it was from "over priming" with the bulb. I fired the motor, ran it for 30 seconds and shut it back down. Fuel STILL poured out of the "weep holes" and the throttle body. The motor was in a slightly raised postion, but was low enough that it was in the trim mode, and not the tilt mode. This motor has run very well for a long time, and I have always noted that it would flood if you primed it and tried to start it in a highly tilted postion. Is this normal for this motor, am I an idiot operator, or is the some problem. It is a significant amount of fuel. Thanks. Jay
