catching big fish thing! Had a great day with my buddy Justin again today! Slept in a little and made it to the lake by about 9. Had a bunch of fun catching little fish on 6" worms, then brought out the swimbaits. It was a scary fight, she got me into a tree for a second or two, but she ended up in my hands! 8lbs3ozs of pure california chunker. Then my buddy got this nice one 4lbs12ozs This was the last good one of the day at 5lbs 1 oz. Finished up by smoking another 10 or 15 little fish apiece. GOOD TIMES!

I have the 704C casting rod and the 702ML spinning rod. I absolutely LOVE these rods. I have had them for a few months. The casting rod id my go to for jigs/soft plastics and the spinning rod is a pleasure to drop shot with. I have no complaints whatsoever and nothing but praise for these rods. I'm developing a system that will run both at the same time

I think ReelMech is the only person on here that builds to sell. His rods look pretty sweet to me! I am having a custom built right now by someone else, but it is my first with them, so we will see how I like it.

Here is an idea I just came up with. Since you have a 3X motor the pedal would not have to articulate too far to be usable and you could put both feet on it if you are sitting. add in the remote on off and you are in business. it wouldn't be very hard to fab up. mount the on off switch in the middle of the rocker, left foot down to go left, right foot down to go right.

DISCLAIMER: This is not directed to anyone in particular. This bothers me more than anything: People who cannot spell. PLEASE GET FIREFOX! It has a spell checker built in for email and forum use. People who quote or use sayings incorrectly. It is supposed to be " I could not care less" When someone says " I could care less", I usually reply "You could? Ok, so you care then..." People... who overuse... the elipsis... you know... the three little periods in a row... Use them once in a awhile sure, but not 150 times a post. Using the wrong word i.e. "there and their" "our and are" "here and hear". People who attempt to use words that are clearly above their normal vocabulary. They are almost always misspelled as well. Seriously, I am not complaining about a misplaced comma, a typo, a non-capitalized letter, or something typed as it would be commonly spoken. But there are times that I read things on the internet, and my brain gets such a sharp pain that I am struck dumb for a few minutes. i.....aslo..rillly...kant...stand...exponentioully...stupit...peeple...They rilly drive my nuts... ;D ;D ;D :D

i'm not much of a rip bait guy, but I would say that a 6'6" M outta do it. 10 or 12 lb copoly or mono.

Fish Chris uses braid only and smokes them with it. Braid is very visible. I don't want a braid to leader knot thrown in the mix either. I WANT some line stretch. I fish with a buttoned down drag and I want a little shock absorption especially at boat side. I am now using braid with leader on my worm/jig rods, cranking rod, and dropshot rods, but I don't see it happening on my swimbait rods.

WELL PUT!!! I ,however, am a confrontational person. I probably won't screw you over, but if you screw me...words and baits will probably fly. In my area, by far, people trolling for trout are the worst. They will drive in between you and the point and drag downrigger weights across it! All the while having no clue. It is freaking aggravating. If there are no women or children on board, I usually let them know I'm ticked. Did you know it is really easy to snag someones trolling line? 25lb CXX is alot stronger than trout fisherman's lines, and you can get some nice tackle too

I use 25lb Pline CXX X-tra Strong exclusively. If you use braid I would advise using NO LESS than 50lb.
