  1. I thought I would bring this thread back. I caught these 2 fish this week. The first was caught after work on tuesday on a jig I had the day off on Wednesday (snow!) So I swept 3 inches of snow off my boat before I uncovered it and headed down the hill (snow free) . I caught this one on a dropshotted leech in about 8 FOW. What is everyone's guess? Keep it in this format for simplicity : __ lbs - __ ozs

I tried for the last 30 minutes to pen a response to this thread. I have deleted it repeatedly. This is just kind of dumb... Which is in no way an insult or slight directed at those members who may be somehow associated with an individual or individuals that are without hearing or speech.
  3. I've been hearing rumors the last couple days of a 20lb-plus out of North Central California this week. All kinds of differing tales happening, but anybody have any bets? Stuck on a swimbait allegedly, by a Japanese man from the Evergreen company allegedly, bottomed out a 19 or 20lb scale (stories differ) allegedly. As you can see, it is awful "alleged"
  4. Rest assured, you start paying attention to fishing once you notice how they are kicking your butt. FOR SURE! My girl is freakin lethal with a senko. I like fishing with her because if we are in the boat, she stays quiet, and if we are on shore, she goes to the other side of the pond!
  5. great idea burley! just to expand it to the 7 letters. MYSTEEZ.
  6. sharpie. red or whatever color you want. Stays on almost as well as the factory red hooks, only difference is, when it starts to come off......you can put more on!
  7. I've seen a ton of Orcas up in wahsington and alaska, no other whales that I can remember though.
  8. I don't think I want to sell any of my guns (you know how sentimental they are) but If you are interested in a loader or supplies, let me know. I'm sure you are good on hulls, because of where you work, but if anyone needs nitro 27's or AA Sporting Clays hulls, I have so freaking many I can't stand it, I don't know what I have in the way of other stuff, but I will look.
  9. Wait... what exactly would a realistic creature bait look like? Their name even comes from the fact that they don't look like any one thing found in nature, but some kind of strange "creature". If you were to get more "realistic" it would take on the attributes of a craw, lizard, or worm. Check out ichibantackle, ginrinpeche, or japantackle, if you want to see some really strange japanese softbaits.
  10. I have a Silver Pigeon as well, I love that gun, but I always shot a few birds better with the auto, I don't know why. I miss clays, I haven't shot in over a year now. Ridiculously expensive thing to be into though, even worse than fishing! Come to think of it I ought to sell some of my gear.
  11. I shot sporting clays competitively for five years. I ran a Beretta 390 Gold mostly. Many, many times I fired 500 rounds a day without a single jam or slow-rack. I have over 60,000 rounds through that gun. I don't doubt that in your experience what you say is true, but I think that there is a reason that 70+% of us ran Berettas. I also loaded my own shells that were super clean burning, and very very slick hulls.

those things are pretty much just real snaggy and fragile shallow crankbaits. You might check out the LA Slider though, they are decent for the money.
  13. She is only 5'5". What can I say, the short ones dig us tall freaks too
  14. and you make Mr. Rogers look like...well...you... ha ha P.S. that was blatant ellipsis abuse on my part, sorry
  15. digital this thread or watching paint dry
  16. I have chewed for the last seven years. I have been at a can a day for the last 5. I have broken an addiction to cigarettes, alchohol, and a recreational prescription medication problem(pain killers, muscle relaxers, and valium). I don't do street drugs anymore either. But chewing has me by the balls. I have "quit" twice. Four days and eight days respectively. I have been chewing NON STOP 15-20 hours a day for years. It is a horrible monkey to have on your back everyday. I've got a three finger in as we speak. You will have to quit for yourself, and no one else. Both times, I was not totally committed and as soon as a stressful situation arose, I folded. Do it for yourself, that is the only way you will be able to do it. If it is so YOU can see your grandkids someday then go for it. I would like to think I am a strong enough person to beat it, and hopefully you are too. Wish you the best. Jay

  24. I've had fish blow up on a topwater swimbait over 30 feet of water. All fish marked on the graph that trip were tight to the bottom.
