Ideally... a 7'6"-7'11" MH SWIMBAIT rod. (okuma, crucial...etc) 300series round baitcaster (cradiff, calcutta, luna) 20lb big game, Pline CXX, ultragreen But any heavy flipping stick will work ok if you have to.

GOOD FREAKING TIMES!!!!!
I've only seen a couple females on beds at this lake so far. The males are up, but have only seen 3 females in two trips. I don't know what the deal is with his fish. Too big to be a male, and way hollow bellied. I just don't think that she *should* be spawned out if no other females have moved up...I dunno.

GOOD FREAKING TIMES!!!!!
After last week's trip I wasn't to concerned about looking for big fish. ( If any of you mudda "forkers" missed it, its on page 2 by now) Saturday my buddy and I took my boat out and had a great day on the water. Beatiful mid seventies temps, bluebird skies, and biting fish. I put 36 in the boat and he landed 17. Nothing big, all between 1.5-2.75lbs. It was just a whole bunch of fun. I lost a bunch of fish and missed some bites, but we had a ball. I had today (monday) off so we decided to go back and do it again! My girlfriend decided she wanted to go, despite having strep throat...yeah...she's hardcore! The three of us got a late start after I hit the snooze a few to many times. By the time we got to the lake it was already 9ish. Got in the water and went straight for the productive water of saturday. I had a fish within two minutes, then another, and another, and another. We all got some fiesty little keepers under out belts and decided to go look for big fish. We found em. This one was a bit of a challenge to get in the net. My buddy ended up soaking wet. Thanks bud! I weighed her three times to make sure, and the scale read AND held 10lbs 0ozs for at least 5 seconds! Another double digit....barely!!!!! I was stoked. Shaking stoked! The release, THIS trophy bass WILL NOT be hanging on a wall. She will be killing trout for a long time to come. I hope to see her when she is "barely" a teener! We finally got my buddy a good fish after some work. She was SUPER long and sleek and went 6-12. TOO FRIGGIN COOL!!! The rain came down hard and mean, so we bailed. I'm home, warm, content, and its back to work tomorrow.

Thanks for the suspense...D!@k!- Most annyoing things?
I, quite simply, loathe stupid people.- best subwoofers?
As a total rock/metal junkie, I would HAVE to recommend that you not get 12's or 15's. I think that the best sub for this music is a 10" Sub. I run 3 Memphis 10's in a sealed box. The sealed box really helps keep it tight and crisp. But you lose some volume. I also run Memphis components in my doors and pillars. Zapco amp. Kenwood deck. PLEASE PLEASE don't run 15's if you want to listen to rock. 12's can sound OK but generally are better suited for music with a slower, deeper, bass line. You might look into a JL Audio W7. Just one will FREAKING pound!- Reel art?
*skssshhh* SIR! Put the pipe down and step away from the reels!!*skssshhh*- ABSOLUTELY AWESOME DAY!!!
Thanks Chris! There is nothing better than feeling first hand just how scary it is to be a trout! I know those photo techniques you are talking about, and I use them as often as I can. There were just complications this trip. First off, it is one of those lakes that the shore is sooooooo recognizable. One of those places where you see the rocks and go "oh thats _______ lake" Most of those actually are facing the opposite shore. We should have done the higher-lower thing. But for me as I am sure is pretty much the case for you, the pictures are for me. When I look back at past trips, I can see the whole point, and the critters in the back ground. Add to that the fact that we were so stoked and in a hurry to get bit again, and it makes for some poor planning! I am bummed that the only picture I have is pretty crappy, but we got like 30 of my buddies PB. I just cannot wait to feel that invigorating thump again! Thanks everyone!- Walk up song for baseball
Rammstein Du Hast That was one of the tracks I put on my basketball teams warm up disc. always got me pumped- P.E.T.A's new tactic againt us
Then its over for Redline! Haven't you ever thrown a stick bait out and had a bass bring it to the boat in his mouth? I'll buy the 22' Ranger!!!! I have 9 dollars!- What knots do you use?
I only tie three knots. Palomar, Uni to uni, and the mono loop knot- ABSOLUTELY AWESOME DAY!!!
As long as I can enter the tournament at the end of the day! Other wise there will be some senko soakers taking my cash all the time! Case in point: Went back today and didn't put a fish in the boat. Missed a couple bites and dumped a fish that LITERALLY made me sick to my stomach for an hour! I'm still mourning!...Heartbreak again!- Ok you swim bait boys
The details would be, for at least the 5th freaking time, what dang bait are you using and what are you trying to immitate? GEEZ! Everybody brought their attitudes, and nobody brought their brain! Apparently myself included, LOL! But seriously, asking how should i fish "a swimbait" is like asking , "how do i fish a soft plastic?" well, without knowing what bait, and what you are immitating, about the only answer would be...FISH IT SLOW!- They're finally up shallow!
Nice fish man! I feel for you dudes that can't fish during the winter. But I used to live in Colorado so, I feel the pain of those long winters!!!!!- The Ab Lounge will kick your a##!
LOL at subject line!- What line do you prefer to use?
If I had to be stuck with only one line it would be either P-Line CX Premium, or P-Line Evolution.- ABSOLUTELY AWESOME DAY!!!
Thanks guys! It was a ton of fun, thats for sure! Hopefully I will get a chance to get back out there soon! There are people that lurk on here that are from my area, and I don't wanna show up to the lake and have 10 boats throwing swimbaits on my spots. Hence the crudely airbrushed backgrounds.- metal/hard rock fans??
I have some at the gates. those dudes are awesome. I'm just not really a fan of the style. I've heard Agnostic Front but that is it out of your list. I kind of have weird tastes. But mostly thrash metal, and new american metal in my deck. - Holy killer trip!!
