  1. Worst ever. Women use an inordinate amount of toilet paper.
  2. The Tierra is the best reel available for less than $200 IMO.
  3. My goodness. The targets are lining up in my mind. Just proves that even in an economic downturn, people will pay for all kinds of crap.
  4. You girls shopping for a purse to match your shoes or what? Short of a reel being hot pink with flowers and butterflies on it, I dont give a crap what it looks like, as long as it performs!
  5. I need someone to look something up in their records for me. Thanks!
  6. What do you mean "lucky"? Is she gonna give him clothes that her kids grew out of or what?
  7. lol. Its a good looking worm. Kinda partial to 10" PW's and my 16 inch handpours though.
  8. You're so quick to criticize someone's work Dave. Are you saying his bait needs to look more realistic, like yours? Thad those baits rock. The splotchly lateral line look is a really really tough one for me. Havent come up with a baby bass pattern I like yet. Yours look great.
  9. Never rubbed it in, but I have put big fish in a very strong solution in the well with it until they stop bleeding, then pump out, and leave them in with a standard dose for a little while. I am convinced that I would have had a 7lber die on me this year if it wasnt for PRM. She had two prongs of an Owner 2X treble in her gill rakers. Never seen a fish bleed so much. After the above treatment, she was released looking great.
  10. The point of me asking specifically what soda is so I don't need to try to read the gibberish ingredients list. I forgot this is a forum, and I can't leave an opening for someone to get a comment in. I know what you mean. It can be really hard to determine which have citrus.
  11. Ok, they dont kick THAT hard. I shot 200-250 rounds in the month or so leading up to season, and another 50 throughout the off season on coyotes, prairie dogs, nuisance dogs, carp, etc. When I was sighting it in the first trip of my practice month, I would shoot 30 or 40 rounds. That will get you a little sore, but come on! Its not a .338 or a .375 H&H! Wearing the same thick warm clothing I would during season. And this is when I was as skinny and weak as Saavedra ;D As I said, for white tails in close quarters its a lot of gun. For BIG muleys and elk at longer ranges, its not hype. Its a solid, flat shooting round. If you are in good enough shape to really elk hunt and not just prowl the logging roads on your quad, you should be able to handle a few rounds at the range.

  13. Hook, My 7Mag is the only rifle I will use anymore for deer, elk, bear, whatever, lol. I love it. I own a 30-06 as well and have done a bunch of shooting with the 270. For western hunting I dont think it gets better than the 7mm. As a dedicated whitetail rifle that you probably wont take out past 250, its overkill. But for me, I'd way rather have the power and not need it, than need it and not have it . I have only shot one deer with it, a muley doe, and I snap shot her at 75. Hit high. A smaller round may have had me tracking through really dense willows. The 7mag put her down in her tracks with even a poor shot. I prefer speed and flat shooting in my elk rifles. Some people like a slow, heavy .338 round. Its preference. To maintain a semblance of on topic discussion, in answer to the OP, I would shoot the '06. I've just never shot a .270, with any ammunition, that I really liked. Of course there are many out there that perform exceptionally well. Just none of the ones I have fired.
  14. A young carpenter was pronounced dead at Sacramento General Hospital today after he intentionally took a Sawzall to his own neck. His boss's decision to listen to Christmas music all day has been implicated in this unfortunate turn of events. This is Harry Ball reporting, channel 12 news, now onto the weather. You guys have no idea how close this was to actually happening. 8, count them 8 different incarnations of jingle bells. I was losing my mind. Tomorrow: iPod.
  15. No. Stop screwing around.
  16. Anybody ever have to drink "Colite". I had to do it when I got my kidney infections. It tastes like moldy cabbage smells, and you have to drink it until it comes out your bottom, looking the same as it did when it went in your top >. Prescription colon blow, lol. Most horrific concoction EVER.
  17. The skin will soak up the devcon really well, specially if you thin the epoxy back a little with alchohol or MEK. Nathan from Bettencourt makes his rodent with skin as well. Used to have one of his baits. When you are done, do not put it back in your box. Retains way too much water. That is where your mold and rust will happen. Just let it air dry.
  18. Burley, I'm suprised you dont just pan fry your bass. Can't get much of a fillet of those monsters.
  19. FUR WITH SKIN. It will be a nightmare if you try and do just hair. Glue it on with devcon epoxy. Use a fur tail as well. You could just cut a strip of fox hair 1/4" wide and epoxy that in the tail hole on the rat.
  20. That would be too cool. You should pop a chipmunk with a bb gun and empty it out, and then sew it to the bait, tail and all ;D
  21. I'm shocked. Between TW's slowness and UPS' incompetence, this will be the first TW order for me to take more than three days total. IF it arrives when the claim, it will be a full week. I am a child of instant gratification. I am not gratified. >
  22. Thanks FFD and all the others who offered advice, help, and sarcasm ;D I am seriously considering moving for a large number of reasons, least of all fishing. But if I did move it would be to CO, WY, NM, ID, MT, or TX. I could be just as into Wild Trout fishing as I am big baiting for LM. In the meantime, I'm gonna spend very little time trophy hunting this winter, and probably get into a different boat. I might just get liquored up and play pool all winter, lol. I'm sure by late February ill be cocked locked and ready to rock with the big baits again.
