  3. Gotta keep those worms from swimming away too fast you know. They pretty strong swimmers and with the currents in lakes I prefer nothing under 3lbs just to keep them from swimming off.
  4. Ha and to have doubted the story I told you bout my similar fish a couple years ago. Way to go Chris and you interested in heading out this coming weekend?

  8. The lake is fishable all the way around on the one lake and the other side is a little more covered. The lake itself is about 8-12ft deep mostly with some shallow spots and what-not. Just be careful if you walk around by the houses on the lake. Some people do not care at all while others care a little more-so. But the houses are along only about 1/4 of the lake so every other bit is easily accessible
  9. Carrington- Yea the weather seems like it may not cooperate, but we just need to keep tabs on it. Hookingem- The biggest bass I pulled out was a 10lb slab about 3years ago. Caught it on a white chatterbait with a red trailer

  12. Sent you a PM about Wilde Lake Hookingem
  13. I use a three way swivel with 1ft of 12lb line out on one for a 1oz sinker and the other with 30lb braid with a circle hook and usually live shad or bluegill. Caught this 30lb Flathead using such method.
  14. Whats the best approach to fishing those lakes? I have tried there a few times with never anything spectacular. I know that Powhattan Ponds? are productive, but I never seem to have luck fishing Powhattan Lakes.
  15. There is one in the Fox-Hall/Colonies Area. Its called wilde lake. Its been producing very well for me the past week or so particularlly. PM me if you interested in directions or want to head up there.
  16. Fishing in local ponds in the Short Pump area has been producing for me. Slow rolling spinnerbaits on drop-offs along with shallow cranks across rock beds and brush hogs!
  17. Do not be afraid to throw those. You would be amazed. Like he said they work. I had a decent 4lb bass blow up on a white spro frog in a creek section 3ft wide and maybe 3ft deep.

  20. I usually seem to have luck tossing white grubs on a 1/32oz jig head. Some others may have other techniques, but thats what I always seem to have luck with on smaller bodies of water, streams, and such. Hope this helps
  21. Everyone says senko, me personally never have as much luck using them as I do a brush hog or lizzard. Whats the best technique for senko in a small lake?
  22. I wear costa's with 580 green mirror, and they perform better than the cheap ones from wal-mart. However the wal-mart ones do work they are just not as comfortable and not as good as the higher end ones in my opinion.
  23. I bought a pair of triple tails with a green mirror last year. They are a bit costly, but I have no regrets. They are comfortable and work great in all conditions

  25. There is no fun in catching fish one way all the time. I like fishing new ways and learning new things and styles of fishing
