  1. I use only skirted frogs and love them ... I carry at least one frogging rod/reel set up with me and 10-12 different sizes and colors all koppers live target .... There's nothing better than getting a strike on a top water lure .......

  7. I really think it depends on where your fishing , Up north we have to worry about water temps early on...Down south I would assume there's different issues ... I wear my pdf and keep my cell phone handy
  8. No the same thing, But i pre-threaded the nut on before I attached it ,,, Worked perfectly ...And I think you'll be very happy ,It's a nice unit.................

  12. The paddles are identical on the LG1H,the TLL1SH are cork and foam, some people like them, some don't . I like them ...
  13. I have the LG1H and the TLL1SH and love them both they weigh in at around 5.7oz and are great reels, I have them on a couple of GL2's ...Very comfortable
  14. It's really tough finding something that small with storage as I've found out myself the dolphin is about the only one I know of that has storage unless you can find a converted jon boat or make something yourself ... Good Luck
  15. I just picked up the hummingbird helix 5 si/gps for my SE 285 pro , I think the SI will be great for fishing all the lakes and ponds ,,, Will let you know how it fares ...

  19. Most of the places that I buy from are smaller tackle shops that utilize Ebay ...They generally have decent prices and free shipping ....
  20. I've been using braid for all applications for a couple of years now and think it works just fine , I prefer 20# but that's me ....
  21. It's not that I dislike my lowrance ,I just find the hummingbird to be more user friendly ...
  22. Sorry but when I pulled up the transducer on my unit it came up with a bracket and no mention of the other transducers ,maybe because they're still new ??
  23. MacP I'm not sure about changing transducers , Most only need a different bracket that's sold as an accessory ..
