  1. Water dogs are prime suspects.. Wait, are those lizards, amphibian or dogs? Lol.. I know they all work in plastic & water dogs are often used " live"
  2. My wife loved throwing a frog and popping it along. On spinning gear no less.. No matter, she bailed after a few trips... Back to Purses & Shoes.. No surprise there, lol
  3. From top to bottom! Since I know my waters very well.. I can park on the structure/cover & fish.. Now I may run from spot to spot ( structure/cover) But I don't see fishing the bank line as being very useful, not that I have not done this. I still may, depending.. A new lake may be different, but not really. With mapping and visable structure or cover, you still format a game-plan and execute it. I do the same thing bank fishing, because I know my water, I know where I'm going and how to fish it. Learn your water...
  4. Crash them into riprap, crank & bang them thru brush/stump fields, even around edges of grass & lily pads.. The square bill was designed to deflect much better than a oval shaped crankbait lip. If your not crashing & banging you are missing out...
  5. ^^ This^^ a short leader and retie often is a solid and smart workaround for your issue.
  6. You need to wind it on tightly.. I would also recommend using less exspensive line (mono) to practice.. Use a bit heavier weight ( bell sinker) Spend some time casting as well, ( practice ) Don't give up, there is a learning curve, you will succeed!
  7. Put weight into it, plug it with a wood filler or bondo, or use a caulk compound.. You might even contact carrotstix or Duckett and get a close if not perfect match.. Where there's a will, there's a way...
  8. Fat free shad jr. 2nd is Xcalibur 200 series square bill.
  9. Honestly, I think they all look creepy, lol
  10. Apparently your the "Only" one left on the earth.
  11. Go to Home Depot and they have a strong insecticide that will kill them. Or... Save time and take a boot and smash them. DOA on tarantulas.. Airmail your lizard to the Amazon Jungle. That is all...
  12. ^^ This! ^^ I drop shot a super fluke, I also like to use a hammer swimtail.
  13. Way to go Hootie.!!

It was a unbelievable tournament, I thought Phil might steamroll to the front if Spieth even hiccuped a little..the kid played exceptional golf.
  15. And.. Here I thought the NRX was a exaggerated price. I guess these are made by former samurai warriors? http://www.history.com/topics/samurai-and-bushido
  16. I had a Polaris 425magnum 4x4 bought new in 98 & sold in 2012.. It was a decent quad.. The Fiji motor was awesome. I hated coming downhill on it though, no engine braking ( auto ) tranny.. All in all it was a good ride...
  17. Nice one slone... Here's another.. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ncQsBzI-JHc
  18. I can't imagine that "thing" just by the description it sounds desperate. Stick with Harley.. Or find a new girlfriend.. Or.... Tell her to buy her own d**n bike! Lol!!
  19. Very good point, I have a small lake I call it the tune up lake. Lots of smaller fish, eager to eat. Allows me to sharpen my line detection & hook setting techniques. It turns on early around here.
  20. I might also add, with super lines being available everywhere, FC,.. You owe it to yourself to try these other lines, that is, if you haven't already..
  21. Right, not going to be overly balanced at all, on my 894 I have a 300d on it @ 10.2 oz it's perfect. On my 853 I use a 50e, they are a good stick.
  22. They are not bad rods at all, I use a few, I use glx and other higher end rods as well.. The only argument that stands up at all against these rods were simply retail prices. That's my opinion on them anyway..
  23. I like him a great deal as well, super smart salt guy...
  24. While action is debatable, I definitely prefer a 6'6" rod, that shorter rod really facilitates the walking action of the original Zara Spooks...
  25. If your having issues, post a question or two on the forum.. Lots of experience on here, plenty of people want to help beginning fisherman in all aspects of angling, to succeed ..
