  1. Oh my, it's Armageddon!! Seriously though, I believe the math indicates a once in 10,000 year event.. Pretty Cool! I was trying to see the Northern Lights ( hardly a chance ) but I still look!
  2. I like the bait quite well, except.. I have broke many bumping cover, not slapping the bait in the water to remove veg. I have 9 left, when these are gone I will be investing in Spro cranks..
  3. Yea! But you know "us" old guys are...??? Lol!
  4. Just listened to a 30 min program on California and the major draught issues. On NPR, Only a 19% snowpack this year. They talk about crop restructure, personal responsibility of wasteful useage, but nothing about desalinization at all.. Doesn't seem viable maybe? Not sure, however other countries have done it successfully..
  5. Love to see it on Amistad, I don't think the area could support it, but what a great fishery.
  6. Plain ole Mary Jane nail clippers for copoly & FC Or scissors on my leather man or kswiss
  7. I would add that BOTH company's are being reported as having stellar customer service on warranty issues. As far as the *** black, I sometimes use my 7'1" heavy/fast pitching jigs.. I like it fine..
  8. Doug Hannon's Big Bass Magic, it's affordable, easy to find.. Full of great information!
  9. That's precious!
  10. Dead stick rouges too.. I loved those things..
  11. Lots of threads on Lews,Lots of threads on Daiwa, Lots of threads ( a whole bunch) on Pfluger President spinning reels, lots of threads about many, many topics.. ( rods, reels, line types, crankbaits, and I dare say "Ugly Stix" People have opinions, people have experiences, if Shimano or Daiwa are top dogs, well there must be a reason so many prefer those. The OP broke a shimano rod, the OP bought a new Shimano rod, he doesn't sound deterred by one broken rod to the point of jumping ship! Must be a reason. Sometimes there is friendly banter, but mostly it's just competive fun really...
  12. They have have a green crawl color, I have a few. Same graphics as the demon color just darker green. Yozuri use to make a killer 1/4 oz watermelon green w/ black fleck.. It was a great little bait! Pearl is good, find a color you like and can believe in, pretty sure you will get bit at some point..
  13. I don't use them anymore, I did a bit in the late 90's.. They are not a durable finish at all.. Seems pointless to me, as Raul would say " use sharp hooks" lol
  14. Geez, maybe I should sell all my squarebills & rattle baits real quick, lol..
  15. True enough, rods should be able to be jostled about without the integrity of the blank being impuned. Every company wants a disclaimer for a rod, I like what Kistler is doing, by flex testing every rod they intend to sell. I believe it has to cut down on genuine blank defects.. Equipment fails for a few reasons, it's like JF said.. " it's the cost of admission"
  16. Uh, Shimano has a reel called the Cardiff that has a bait clicker on it... In a lefty..

Oh please! Fellas, come on! Kentucky has got this in in bag.. Half the team can get the flu & they still can win it all. I still like Wisconsin, Duke looks good as well as Notre Dame.. North Carolina looks better in the last month.. Going to be a great tournament!
  18. No, I mean I actually prefer fast, some prefer extra fast.. A bit more important is a length that facilitates " jerk, jerk, pause" cadence or what ever type of retrieve style you may use. That's my opinion anyhow..

    Welcome to the forums..
  20. Somebody's been paying close attention on this forum! Smart fella! Oh, super nice fish bud.. Keep on it!!
  21. Looks like a big ole sunfish in late spring around here, I like it..
  22. Lol, yea if I own it, it's the Best! Or is it? Hmm..
  23. Yup, different sizes, same as crankbaits, Rattlebaits, plastic worms, etc.. Give your Jerkbait more time to succeed. I still loose crankbait fish after decades of fishing them...
  24. Find other fish!
