  1. In the article he says he hasn't done well in pre- fishing.. It's going to be a tough tournament!
  2. You got it! I would still grab something gold, (Think Golden shiners) Plus, gold always seemed to flash better in the tannic or tannin colored waters of Florida. Of course those are my choices, but history shows they are solid choices for your state.
  3. Your in Florida right? Try a redshad, something heavy on Gold ( Goldflake ) perhaps a June bug color in a 7" ribbon..Those colors should easily catch you fish. Or, pick out a color you really feel great about.. Then fish it hard!
  4. You can put lipstick on a pig& it's still a pig! Just sayin.... Lol..

I like elaztech tubes with a small bell sinker pushed into the body.. Ultra steel has a feel similar to tungsten.. It's a good rig!
  6. You apparently have to first, collect FLMB fishes, transplant them to California, then take millions of hatchery trout, release them for years, allow them ((Flmb) the calories of a NFL lineman, catch big mamas, then brag about how great a fisherman one is living in the California state... That's one way to grow big fish...
  7. I paid dues in Boyscouts.. .25 cents a week.. Don't know about fishing clubs, I always paid to fish tournaments when I could or wanted. It may depend on your area, as well as the clubs cost of meeting/ operating cost.. I'm sure it varies. Best Wishes!

I still prefer berkley power tubes, my favorite color was new penny, can't find that color anymore.. Most any tube, whether it be havoc or poor boys, even elaztech are going to have that great spiraling drop/erratic action. That's the real beauty of the Tube baits

I'm not saying those can't or won't work... But there seems to be a distinct advantage to using The Zman elaztech material over the heavier Senko.. At least that's the jest coming from the guys that swear by it..

  11. Drag click components ( pin&spring) a couple side plate screws in the event you would round one out..
  12. Are those YOUR rules and regulations?
  13. Lol, no shortage of ice right now in the country! I agree with Dwight Hottles statement. Arm yourself with all the regulations/ knowledge before hand, and you must realize and accept the fact that the fish may likely die..it happens.. Having your plan in place will surely go a long way in helping keep the fish healthy. There's still a good chance the fish dies.. If I catch a state record or world record bass... It's over for the fish!
  14. I throw weightless senkos with bait casting gear.. I don't have a issue being able to throw a 4" senko. Weighless elaztech finesse, wacky rigged or tricks wacky rigged I do use spinning...
  15. I buy mine at American Legacy Fishing Company Out of Evansville, In. They have them (used rods) at the storefront & they also sell (used) on ebay.. Call the store and see!

  18. My Great grand daddy worked mines, my great grandmother died in her cabin on Black Mountain in 72, my granddad work mines for 8 years then moved to Harlan, Ky. Where my father was born. My Dad was 8 when they left Harlan for Ind. due to massive Violence as it applied to moon shiners & the Federal Excise Men.. It was pretty cut and dried.. If someone showed up, they knew who was from those areas & who wasn't.

  20. I don't believe it will take long for the rod line to be vetted! I'm remaining optimistic till I know otherwise...
  21. I liked the one Roland made many years ago on a flip stick... It was wadded up foam, duct taped on the rod handle! Lol... I couldn't believe it.. He said it protected his ribs and side.. Maybe so!
