  1. I think a close out is probably a safe assumption on the GL2..
  2. Company's in a court of law say their sorry with money, fishing company's say their sorry by introducing the curado I and the E6X rod! Sounds really good to me, as well...
  3. Sounds like the Daiwa Rep, fell asleep during training courses.. That's pretty redicilous..
  4. That's a mother lode right there, wow...
  5. Fwiw, I use those for panfish just fine, lol..
  6. Today around 2p they ( Bps ) had about 20 reels left, I saw 0 rods on clearance.. Saw the new white ( ugh ) models... Not much of a sale in my area...
  7. Owner hooks for over a decade, gammys even longer, some mustads... Some Vmc, some trokars, Daiichi..
  8. Sounds like these reels (DC) models have come a long way since ***, so many reels to choose from, I may have to create my own lottery to help decide.. No wait, I can ask the wife!
  9. None were available at my BPS, not 50 in a pack for $9.99 anyways... I was going to grab some 3"
  10. Picked up a couple spools of the old bps branded FC line, (yay!) listened to GMan, talk smack! Nearly ran into his truck! Pretty cool truck..
  11. I've had the imx and gl3 rods, they also had aluminum oxide inserts, I got no problem with with these inserts, the frames can be bigger, and made of different materials, that has a bearing on the weight I believe, my imx had much smaller frames than do my gl2's
  12. Honestly, for me, it was $1.98 for 660 yards, lol But, it's pretty good line for my light duty rigs (#8) Claims are superior abrasion res, super tough, I wouldn't go that far, but it's good line at my pricing...
  13. Big game XT , Triplefish camo, CXX, Yozuri hybrid, Silverthread, Gamakatsu, CX, Sunline, Suffix Siege, Maxima, Plus FC lines... I suppose the actual makeup of each line could be argued, but for my sanity I group these into mono blends, except FC
  14. No, you should be fine.. Casting may be a slight issue, depending.. But rod manufacturing has caught up with the whole braid thing, I still use mono blends on stiffer action rods, you will get no complaints from me..
  15. I also use them, 894C FPR & 853C JWR, excellent build, and I can feel pretty good with them, I paid 100&115 & no wildcard with them.. I will be adding a new spinning model of the "new" loomis economy model, soon..
  16. Yup, the Gl2 rods were not as bad either, as so many say, although they were priced higher than they should of been.
  17. Depends on cover. I have up to #30 if needed. Typical is 15 thou, up & down in test, depending..

Awwww, poor baby.. God love her, my son and daughter went thru similar, but nothing that bad. God Bless man..
  19. Best way I could describe a LTB over a avid is to say its a crisper rod, yes, I have owned many Avids & LTB's.. No contest compared to a mojo.. Either avid or LTB will be a great improvement over the mojo...
  20. Whatever gives the best balance on that rod is what I say, pretty much what snook said..
  21. It was sorta nice today... Temps in the upper 40's Cleaning out my Truck, I discovered a half eaten McDonald cheeseburger, how that be? Of course shipping perishable may come with a extra charge... Nevermind, I ate it...
