I have a 7'11" with pacbay minimas on it, I like them just fine, I also use rods with macros and tradition sized guides. Pay close attention to the inserts before you buy, it's easier to miss a crack or damage on micros... But they work great on the right rods...

As far as the Tatula rods go, I looked at these this past spring, build Quailty was terrible, that was on 30 different rods and they were all poor.. That was at BPS.. I see a lot of this there too, makes me wonder sometimes if bps is pushing 2nd rate stuff through, idk.. I don't have a fave from ur list, but I would save up 30 dollars more and go with a Klx or Avid...

Yea I agree with WRB.. If they need hooks, replace them, my squarebills by Xcalibur come with strong sharp hooks, no need to replace them. When I need to it's the older Mustad Tripple grips or Owner needle points.. But I don't just change for sake of changing.

What type of jig skirt? In colder water I use bucktail w/ pork... Critters still move in colder water, albeit, slower... Uncle Josh, and they make several different action types/shapes/sizes that are really good. I use pork in colder weather, not so much in warmer temps.

That's a fact, all though I have caught some really good fish on Monroe before they ( Ind. ) killed off all the pads... Patoka, love it for Crappie, Bluegills & even Stripes... Sucks for LMB though. Ind. is most assuredly a difficult state for the LMB, that's a fact.

I use to, a long time ago, I've caught them by hand, Gig, and .22 short, I don't now though, they are quite tasty... Killed a few big snakes lurking in the area as well ( Didn't eat those ) we would throw them in a burlap bag & deal with them (frogs) next morn. They are surprisingly tough, when gigged, most always living to the next day...

Tip: Open up Alcatraz & put the 49ers in there along with Harbough.... They suck...The End.
