Kudos on the Curado I and its easy palmability.. I unloaded my 50 platform reels because the " I " is ever so very close in comfort, but has a all new build, I like the curado 50 but can't see it over the I series, imo... Great little reels though (50)

At any rate, both reels you mention are graphite framed.. Get a aluminum frame for a more solid feel.. Daiwa, Shimano are two company's that offer very good products. Choose a price or choose your reel. Seems your budget allows for a higher end product.

Used a old loomis CBR rated to one once. I would toss open hook tube rigs a lot with it.. Worked just fine.
