I’ve got a bunch in chartreuse a bunch in white, I generally use for sauger. Plus I have some in shad (black & white) then some in brown black flake. Been a minute since I actually swam a curly tail for bass though, a long time..

Zion frame, I saw one broken at BPS just after the release of the reel (reel foot) I owned one, no power, flex, and the hood was weird. Gave it to my son and he still has it but keeps it for sentimental reasons. (I’m trying to get the spool back 😂

I do not have that rod, I have a 1 power glass (wrapped with Toray 700&800 carbon) made by Brad Loomis’s company. I definitely use 1/8 crankbait and 1/4 on this rod and it’s phenomenal for this. I do have several IMX Pro blue rods but they're rated heavy to salt-heavy. If you’ve got hands on a 1 power IMX rod in very good condition & at a great price I’d snag it..

Well since we’re talking about Bomber baits, I have a couple dozen of the 1/8 ounce crankbait, those things are killer good & always have been. The new ones are just as good if not better. I actually got on the Long A for a year or so & done good enough but I’m a LC Pointer 100 guy.. the cast ability of the pointer is key for me..

I gotta get me one now 😉

Yes glass is heavier for sure but it’s a special rod material and when used & understood it’s absolutely perfect for deep cranking.. Kind of ironic that graphite rod makers are always adding glass to carbon to get an imitation glass rod, or a Frankenstein rod 🙄 some kind of rod

By feel or an educated guess, unless I’m flipping then it’s locked down.

I use to gig them then we used a .22 short on them. Catch 15-50 sometimes. Pays to have burlap bags to stash them in. Of course that’s a long time ago. We also would feel for snappers.. not exactly my thing but my friends were into that. Peer pressure sorta thing. 🙂
