I don’t ever remember such a blowout as this tournament.. guy used skill along with a fair amount of luck. That area is just constantly reloading with an unbelievable amount of fish. Maybe in the past 30 years of following this sport it’s happened but I can’t remember anything like it.. Watch. MLF will be here next year 😂

Except learn it & learn it well. But even then, some of these guys have been touring pros for a long time and the fact that a lot of people don’t say is the age factor. In the 80’s I could literally do a 12 hour day on Orange-Lochloosa, but 10 years later I was struggling w 6.. it’s just another fact of life, age, injuries, lifestyle etc. Not trying to preach or anything but I just think it’s also a factor with some of the pros trying to make fishing an actual career.

Kyle up by 20 pounds? That’s insane! Trey is still better than the rest of the field though and my personal favorite.. Yea yea yea, I’m a power fisherman but I love the kid.. wonder what Kyle is catching them on?

Kistler rods are excellent. Like Rangerjockey said I have Treys rods built on NFC and the made in S. Korea w Toray carbon. Mine are spinning and his are the only split grip I like. Both are Helium rods and are very good rods. Call them and talk to them, they’re friendly people.

It’s 98mm thou they also offer an 88mm. I don’t have a part number. You can find it on their website. They do offer it for Daiwa and Shimano both. I’ve seen them with red accents as well. Or.. order from China like I did.

Decided to try something different. Looks big, but fishes small. Fills the hand very nice and the knobs spin forever. The knobs are aluminum with a carbon overlay. It’s also much lighter than you’d expect. If it doesn’t work, I’ll report back on it. 😁

200 D in 5 speed. That reel was an amazing crank bait reel. Used on Kentucky lake and rebuilt twice. 50 E. Such a sweet little reel. I own 1 Bantam 22 in 8 speed but to be honest my faith in the micro-module gear isn’t convincing. I’m using 3 new Daiwa Zillions that I’ve purchased in the past 6 weeks or so and they are unbelievable reels. I’ll have a couple more in a month.

I buy jigs in sets of 2-4 depending.. I might have 60 jigs (dressed) probably 30% are trimmed down. I will do that w spinnerbaits too. A shorter, stiffer skirt flares and breathes differently imo.. I’ve kind of got away from spinnerbaits as of late but now that bladed jigs are the new senko I’ll probably start throwing them again.

Rules for thee but not for me? Like the Johnston brothers do? They team up every Tournament, hell they even share their earnings and bank accounts. It’s ridiculous, that’s what it is. BASS plays favorites, level the playing field, let everyone take a polygraph before and after each and every tournament. Put up or shut up. Where’s your proof? Youtube? Gossip? Where is the video that you’ve never seen? 🤣😂🤣 You go on and kowtow that garbage.. Or present the actual video you’ve never seen lmao.

Did you contact Loomis about warranty or expediter replacement? Or did you just decide to go another route. Surely you would have had a replacement quicker than 4 months from Edge. I have 2 Edge rods, I like them just fine. Just curious.. Do you think that blank fishes more like a medium than a medium light? I have a 735 MBR MH-F and it’s definitely a heavy, a great caster though 1/4-3/4 it’s an unusual blank for sure. Helluva striper rod.

I wanna see it since apparently everyone else has… or is it only available to a few privileged fisherman on the elite series and a few YouTube blow hards 🤣🤣🤣 If BASS had any credibility they would have viewed it, made a determination and not shared it amongst other fisherman. Martin should sue them… Where’s your proof? Link the video. I’m not convinced he did cheat. Show me the proof for the third time.. or is this the grapevine you keep hammering away on?

There weren’t many rules back in Roland’s day.. I remember when he put a ladder on his boat so he could spot beds easier.. salt guys do it all the time, of course Ray Scott made a rule forbidding it but there wasn’t one prior to that.

Scott isn’t asking BASS to accept it. Remember he said he’s pulling out of the Elite series. So there ya go. Btw, everybody, EVERYBODY use to talk to locals and get info in the 80’s, 90’s and even into the 2000’s. Fisherman talk. People talk. Guides get paid to take clients out to fish. When I pay a Captain 2800$ to take me solo out on the GOM I’m saving waypoints. Same on Cumberland, same on Kentucky LK. But hey, there is a new way and it’s called FFS often called a cheater box. I’ve seen the Johnson brothers team up and you know they share info when at Harris last year they end up in the same spring even pointing out fish on beds for one another. Imo, EVERY. SINGLE. FISHERMAN. At every elite series event should be given a poly before and after. You want a straight playing field? That’s one way. A lot of these guys cannot even properly operate their boats or even trailer them properly. You got Zaldain trying to intimidate a weekend fisherman to get out of the area he wanted to fish, going so far as to threaten going to the guys job and interfering with his factory job. He got a fine. But he wasn’t DQ’ed either. Different rules for different guys. All of this to say BASS looks very incompetent to me.
