  1. LeFlop should retire. Go Pacers!
  2. I use to sell Mepps squirrel tails back when I was a young teenager.. between using a spinner & a regular ole crappie maribou jig, both worked great.
  3. As far as a direct answer to your question, I know of no studies as being considered a definitive analysis.. There could be though. Someone who might be keen to this information is @bulldog1935 😁 Some Saltwater species I can say are, Redfish come to my mind.. (in my experience) fishing in the Caribbean, predominantly w spinning gear using 8-12 pound mono I’ve caught a lot of different fishes, Tarpon, various snapper, barracuda , rays. This is just my personal experience.
  4. I used clear/blue fluorescent lines in the 70’s & 80’s, 90’s and even now. The waters I fish are in areas where the water is anything but clear. No one will convince me I’m fishing in err… In Fisherman once stated and as other reputable biologists have studied the “sounds” that fishing lines can make coming thru the water.. I believe in those studies..

For me I’d call that vaguely familiar, I meant to say of the veteran guys like Randy, Greg , Gerald.. maybe I should have said “traditional”

Randy Howell got a 6th place finish. He’s the only one in the top 10 I’m even familiar with.

Tried to watch but just couldn’t do it with Jacob P. running from dock to dock, wood to wood while staring at a screen. Can’t do it, won’t do it. I never saw him cast in 12 minutes of coverage. Also, the commercials and commentary isn’t interesting. It is hard and rewarding. Randy Howell made 1 cast, the first cast of the day and nailed that 7-11 (I think that weight is right) of course on a Senko..(black magic) A Senko guys.. in every tournament a Senko plays a factor. 😉
  8. Tell me about that deep flex jig rod you’re using.. Man. A few of those fish were sweeet.
  9. I make no special provisions on rigging my hooks offset at the nose or anything else like that and I’ve been doing it primarily since 79.. I don’t even do that w elaztec and I do use that material a fair bit. Never needed to. Seems lots of folks Texas rig differently & that’s fine, do what works for you.
  10. Are you still giving all your tackle away? 😂😆
  11. I use to back up 53’ trailers backing up a boat trailer was easy peasy..
  12. Um, I’m not so sure I agree..🤣😂🤣
  13. 1 free replacement?
  14. Manufacturers get to determine what a “lifetime” means”

Randy Howell in 1st and Gerald Swindle in 10.. Randy has big fish also.
  16. I use to swear by Power bait 3” tubes in “New Penny” but couldn’t find them after awhile so I just use BPS brand or Strike King. Since I have a BPS close and an Academy close, I just grab plastics locally.
  17. Imo, you owe it to yourself to try it, then you can truly decide, however note: Different FC lines have different behavior characteristics. I tried it in the late 90’s and it wasn’t durable at all but it has excellent “feel” so fast forward to now. There are a plethora of lines to choose from and most are just different enough add to the confusion of a first time user. 😁
  18. I knew it was a trick question..😂
  19. He’s the worst caster I’ve ever seen.. He clearly hates Daiwa. Bashing Daiwa is his channels, allure
  20. IMO, the MBR does slightly degrade the sensitivity. I have the GLX 844c and the 895 F&P the big stick is more sensitive and you can easily discern this, but either way they have PLENTY of feel-sensitivity with power to boot. I have an Edge in 5 power it’s a MBR in spinning and it’s a beast w FC or braid. Don’t be afraid of the MBR, it’s worth what little you give up. I do have rods in IMX and they are great rods. Again, this is my experience others may differ.
  21. I have a Zillion rod, 7’3” RB. Rod is an amazing caster for sure. Very good feel.
  22. Personally, I’m a big fan of alconite so it’s fine by me. K series Fuji? They rock and if I got ti-sic then woo hoo!!
  23. To add to the conversation: 😂 Shipping is $25
  24. Ok I bumped my message: they are k series w alconite rings according to the manufacturer’s online messaging system.
