  1. Not Pine Island Pond in Manchester right? I must be confused with another Pine Island.
  2. I know that the episode is midway thru right now, but is anyone watching it? I love this show! Jeremy Wade is an absolute savage of a fisherman!
  3. Incredible reel. Don't need to spend $150 with a reel like this on the market, I promise you!
  4. Cabin Fever is killin' me right now.
  5. Deal, that never even crossed my mind. Thanks for the advice!
  6. So basically I am pressed for cash (aren't we all), and can't have the luxury have having 1,000,000 rods for every single scenario...I wish I could though. So basically I want to combine a rod for jig fishing, and also topwater. I know this is a weird combo, but basically I have a 7' MH Abu Garcia Vendetta 2, extra fast, and a reel with a 7:1 gear ratio. The line I'm using is 17 lb. fluorocarbon (I know...bad for topwater). I live up north, New Hampshire to be exact, so I'm really not fishing any insane slop with either technique. My primary question is will this rod be okay for what I plan to use it for?
  7. Stop trying to argue on the forum (we don't really want to hear it).
  8. I can almost see my kayak under my porch...sort of.
  9. Maine, that picture looks too good to be true!
  10. The actual reason is that because every bass that is born actually doesn't have a good chance of having the genetic capabilities to reach a double digit bass. There is a video which I posted below that I got from bassresource.com, which answers your exact question. It is a great and very informative video. Cheers & tight lines! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-fish-biology.html
  11. What is summer? (New Hampshire resident)
  12. Welcome to the North brotha. I'm from New Hampshire and us New England fisherman have it much worse than every other bass fisherman. Just need to learn and adapt. Kinda sucks because there aren't too many things that apply to us on television shows and such.
  13. I reside in Londonderry NH (Southern NH) but go up to the lakes region frequently.
  14. I think the best one is when he went against Jacob Wheeler. The fish they caught were f*@)ing insane!
  15. Thanks for all the responses guys! Very helpful!
  16. Thank you! I think I'm going to look into this setup!
  17. Hey guys, I'm trying to get into swimbait fishing and I realize I don't have any proper equipment to fish a swim-bait. I'm really interested in fishing the Huddleston baits up to the 8 in. I wonder what type of line reel and rod I should be looking at for larger swim baits. Any responses will be greatly appreciated! Cheers and tight lines!
  18. I just research an ungodly amount and take notes. I'm going insane though.
  19. This is ridiculous...F(*% it! I would eat a jig.
  20. If a second after the fish has breached the water and begins to nag you about something...it's a female.
  21. Welcome as well! When winter rolls around the fish begin to become lethargic, which means to slow everything down... I personally go with a texas rigged rodent dragged on the bottom. The retrieve usually takes me about 5 minutes to bring it back to my kayak. My friend who pulls in much bigger fish than I do usually will slowly hop a swim jig on the bottom of the pond. The bites are much less, but will produce much bigger fish. Patience is a virtue and you must remember that!
  22. All about them Patriots.
