If you want a larger profile toss a plastic trailer on whether it be a grub or a boot tail swimbait. Havoc Grass Pigs are relatively cheap & they get the job done. You could also use a trailer hook if the fish are swiping at your spinnerbait.

Rage Craws are the best IMO but they will start putting a beating on your wallet... You could also try to fish a jig to imitate crayfish. Jigs won't tear up like a soft plastic will. Other options include Zoom Speed Craws, Chigger Craws, & Pit Bosses.

As much as possible because you never know what those critters want... In reality, most of us don't have an unlimited supply of tackle at our disposal. If I were you I would pick up a few techniques and gain confidence in those. If you're fishing year-round, try and find some that should work year round, like a jig.

When I see people holding spinning reels backwards (like you would a baitcaster or a spincast reel) I also saw a guy using a baitcaster upside down too... that was cringe worthy.

I haven't been able to get out on the water and fish them but I'm sure they will perform amazingly

Figuring it out.. that's what fishing is. You never know what they want, so you try everything.

Line conditioner for your mono and fluoro. You can use it on braid but it doesn't really help.

I wouldn't spool on unless you have some KVD line and lure, then go ahead if you want to take the extra step to spray it on later. Kind of a waste, imo though

Haven't used the STX but I have the TP. It's a buttery smooth reel and is fairly light. Another option in this price range is the Curado I, which I hope to be picking one up soon.
