  1. The people who sit on top of buckets along the banks...as soon as the catch a fish it goes in the bucket.
  2. What weights do you plan on throwing? I have a model of the 803C JWR in the NRX line, and the only jigs I would throw on that would be 1/4 oz. It doesn't handle bigger weights too well.
  3. Get the magnum ol monster....

    A grenade....
  5. Walmart is the only place I can go if I need something immediately. I went in today to get some fluorocarbon. It was either Red Label or Vicious Fluoro. I went with Vicious because why not. It was alright, but I wish they had some better lines.
  6. I have never experienced any problems with my Tournament Pro. I usually had 1 internal brake on, and adjusted the magnetics from there
  7. Even though it's not a new item the Red Eye Shad coming in more colors. Rayburn Red is one of them
  8. Let your spouse have your credit cards
  9. 5' stickbait Black/blue jig
  10. I remember seeing Bill Dance use a Yum Dinger on the show. I immediately went out and bought some and looked up how to rig them. Immediately hooked onto bass fishing after that. My answer is the internet / media.
  11. This is the 2nd catfish I've ever caught... both caught on Red Eye Shads
  12. I assume so too. I am far from an expert on catfish... only have caught one of them other than that one. I did not get any measurements on it, unfortunately. Some of the people there said it was probably 30+ lbs.
  13. Speaking of big fish.... this thing put up one heckuva fight. I have never caught a fish this big before. Didn't even know a cat like this existed in the small lake I fished. The NRX handled it very nicely. Hooked in the lip with one treble, on 14 lb line. Didn't even bend the hooks out!
  14. The line ratings on your rod apply to monofilament / fluorocarbon line diameters. 50 lb braid's diameter is equivalent to your 12 lb monos. If you want, I find that monofilament is easy to use too. Trilene Big Game in 12 or 15 lb.
  15. If you do go the *** route make sure you feel one in store. The handle can be a bit uncomfortable for some.
  16. They work!!! I've also used the Livetarget Crawfish trap, which is slightly smaller compared to the RES. I also like that one too.
  17. Red Eye Shad in Chart. Belly Craw, Chartreuse Sexy Shad
  18. As Andrew Zimmern once said... "if it looks good, eat it!"
  19. I fish a park lake and I'm pretty sure I've caught every single fish in there x3.... just gotta keep fishing. Even though the biggest fish I've actually measured out of there was only 3 1/2 lbs.
  20. Mercer is a very good salesman....
  21. I bring a one of those Camelbak bottles filled with water and maybe some sunflower seeds. Cracked pepper, of course.
  22. Just the fact that the guy didn't even respond to me made me so angry. He was probably thinking "Why should I even listen to this kid"
  23. I decided to fish my local park today. I see a gentleman and his buddies throwing some sort of firework into the water. They actually lit one that exploded at the feet of some people walking on the sidewalk. I immediately walk back over to him and ask him to stop, but he doesn't even respond to me. Even his son said "yeah the fireworks are killing the fish". Five steps past them, I hear another one go off, and another. I immediately went home after that. Some people have just grown from bad seeds, I guess.
  24. I'm moving to Florida.
