  1. I fished Ochos today with the o-rings and didn't have any tear on me. Going to definitely use the shrink wrap, and also gonna try out some zinkerz aswell.

Man that is like the 3rd post I've seen about people getting hooks stuck in them this past week!! Watch out everyone!
  3. Rage, Siebert, DVT, Megastrike
  4. I took the drag off and put everything back on, and it still does it.
  5. I think you need to be prescribed some medical plants to help you relax, and just fish
  6. I bet a lot of guys on here will recommend a Dobyns Savy 734.
  7. Just the drag star moves back and forth. But you have to physically move it with your hands, it doesn't move by itself.
  8. I will look into this further...
  9. Put on some braid and see if you can feel anything then..
  10. I don't have a wife yet, so I wouldn't know. But I see where you're gettnig at...
  11. This is the size I am using, but mine still tear after a couple of fish.. I'm using a baitcaster and casting fairly hard is probably what's giving me this issue...
  12. If I loosen the drag all the way, it does not move, but when set normally, it does.
  13. Maybe the guys with the similar Tatula could chime in? Does your Daiwa reel do this?
  14. I think 16 lb Sniper would work very well. I have used 14 with lighter weights, and even that stuff was crazy strong. Whenever I was too lazy to get my scissors out of my backpack, I would rub the line against a concrete sidewalk to cut it. It took around 5-10 seconds of rubbing to break it.
  15. I have been using o-rings for wacky rigging senkos with a 3/0 octopus hook. The problem is, after I've been using the bait for a while the o-ring will eventually dig into the bait, almost tearing it in half. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
  16. Ouch!!! Glad you didn't have to go to the ER!
  17. Just a quick question for yall. On your drag star, does it have the ability to move left and right? My friend has one and is concerned, but I think this is completely normal, as it doesn't affect performance at all. Any thoughts?
  18. Curado I all day on e bay. Still enough money to buy some line, too
  19. Sorry brother, but you probably won't be able to get much information from us bass fisherman. You'd be better off in a saltwater forum.
  20. Are you fishing in saltwater or freshwater?
  21. Fairly new member? Something smells fishy.
  22. Regular filler spools do just fine. FC Sniper is good stuff. You could probably get away with 14 lb sniper, which has a thinner diameter when compared to others. Also, 14 lb sniper is incredibly strong. I have gotten hung up with it once and have been unable to break off with my bare hands. I had to resort to the wrapping the line around the branch tactic, like I do with braided lines.
  23. Right now, a squarebill, a jig, or a senko wacky rigged
  24. 15 lb power pro has a diameter equivalent to 4 lb mono. 50 lb has a diameter equivalent to 12 lb. Don't pick a line by its stength, but diameter. For baitcasters I use a minimum of 30 lb... I have used 20 before, but didn't like it.
