Your most versatile lure/technique?
I'd have to say one of my most versatile lures this year has been the swim senko. As with any soft plastic you can rig it many different ways.Plus you can fish it fast, slow,or deadstick and the fish still seem to like it.Just something new that worked for me.

"plastic worm, weightless"
All of what Fluke said and if it's really tough I'd throw a Zoom finesse worm(essentially a short trick worm). Also don't be afraid to try a senko swim.

leaving boat in brackish water
I'll be going on vavcation at the end of the month on the ST.John's river, just south of Lake George. I have a Bass Tracker aluminum boat that I want to leave at the covered boat slip for the week I'm there. Are there any extra precautions I should take leaving an aluminum boat in slightly saline water.Or will it be OK as long as I rinse real good with freshwater after my vacation? Thanks for any suggestions in advance.

fluorcarbon-braided line knots
I asked a similar question under the rod, reel, line section and someone put me on to the slim beauty knot.I tried it and it works excellent.Google it and you can find out how to tie it.It's simple and it works.

PLEASE! HELP me stock this pond!!!>>>
Snappers are real easy to catch too so relocating them wouldn't be hard.Plus you're more likely to get them with this method. The .22 will work but a clorox jug with a big hook and a chicken gizzard are hard to beat.Ask around there is probably someone who'll eat them if you don't.

dogfish?
Dogfish as you call them(mudfish to me) just love a terminator t-1 spinnerbait.Especially white. You can use other spinnebaits and catch them just as well but the mudfish will ruin it.Nearly every one I ever caught on a spinnerbait the blade arm ended up twisted under the skirted part. The t-1 will snap right back. The walmart special will be better suited as a safety pin, lol.

Can't afford to fish
A friend and I take turns every other weekend. One time we take his truck and boat then the next time mine. And if I have a little extra on the in-between weekends I go to a local TM only lake. It's bad when you try to get a little overtime during the work week to fish the weekend, lol.

best knot ?
What is the best knot for tying braid to fluoro or mono? I've been using the blood knot but it's kind of a pain to tie and doesn't give me much confidence that my leader won't separate on a good fish.Anything easier and quicker to tie that holds good?

Lures For River Smallmouth
The rebel crawdad in various colors, single tail grubs(I liked bluegill color),smoke purple fleck tubes were some of my good smallie baits. And if your river gets high and muddy a 1/2 oz chartreuse spinnerbait with colorado blades.

Swimsenko question
There was an article on here awhile back that had some pics of underweight and dead bass they had dissected the stomachs of.They had ingested plastic lizards, worms, etc.Don't know how many swimsenko tails it would take to do damage. The swim senko without the paddle is just a senko, which nearly always works, lol.

oooooouuuuuch... aka "the fish that got me back"
I had a do use the same technique to remove a hook out of me.It was in my shin though not my finger.Since that time I carry a few needles and some alcohol wipes in my box.Only had to use them once on a buddy so far(knock on wood).Of course he didn't get any anesthetic though, lol.

How often are you "SKUNKED"?
A lot less than I used too,but I've been trying to learn some new techniques so the learning curve could account for some of it.(a likely excuse) I got skunked today incidentally.

fish finder ?
Ok I've been reading the book and playing with my fishfinder. I can tell hard and soft bottoms and find weeds most of the time. One thing in the book that I was wondering about. It says The "ping" if you will is cone shaped and gets wider towards the bottom. In 10 feet of water the cone is 10" in diameter. Most of the lakes I fish here it's hard to get 10 feet deep in most places. If I ping a 10" bass in 10 feet of water does he take up the whole screen or what?Or am I misunderstanding the instructions somewhere? Thanks.
