Lure Maintenance?
If a lot of lures in my tackle box get wet, when I get home I open them up so that the hooks don't rust.

Problems With Elastztech And Other Plastic Baits?
So I had a thread about ElastZtech and Strike King Ragetail Toads. Someone said something about ElastZtech and melting other baits. I'm assuming it has to do with some type of chemical reaction. I normally put my used plastics that can still be used again together in a flat plastic tacklebox. If I put an ElastZtech bait with these would it melt them or melt the tacklebox? What are the problems with ElastZtech and what should I do to keep them and my other plastics safe?

Bass Boat Carpet
Cold. lol Sometimes you can't always find stuff by a google search and just because a google search finds something it doesn't always tell you how of a business it is. Many times people on here have experience with certain businesses and can tell you whether it's a good business or a poor one.

What's The Height On Your Boats Stand Up Buttseat Seat?
If you have a boat that has a front deck stand up butt-seat like most bass boats come with, what is the height? I am looking for an adjustable pedestal for my boat and seeing that a lot of the max heights are 24-30". Well, I measured my waist (my new buttseat is to sit on or lean against) and it's 38", and I'm short. So 24-30" would seem really short. Maybe I'm measuring it wrong or something. So, what is the average height for stand up buttseats on bass boats? This is the seat I have.

Whats Your Most Successful Way To Rig Creature Baits?
According a previous thread the most popular creature baits are the Zoom Brush Hog, Baby Brush Hog and Pitboss. I saw that one poster asked this question and I thought it was a good one. However, I think his post got lost in the shuffle. So here's his question: Once you've got it narrowed down to one (or 4) favorites, what's the mostly (most successful) rigging? Obviously conditions will dictate, but I'm guessing most will generally throw in similar-type conditions when they put a creature on and end up with one or two regular rigging methods? T-Rig - small weight <1/4oz ? T-Rig - larger weight > or = 1/4oz ? Weightless ? Carolina ? Nail ? Weighted hook (swimbait type) ? As a Trailer? Other?

Help Me Pick A Pedestal For My Front Boat Deck
Well, I think there are really only two players in the game, Attwood and Springfield, so whichever one of those is most durable and they are roughly the same price normally, however, certain websites sometimes have cheaper prices or good sales.

I love my Abu Garcia Revo SX. It's in your price range. It won the Outdoor Life Editor's Choice award last year.

Help Me Pick A Pedestal For My Front Boat Deck
So I started a thread earler on finding the correct replacement for my 2-3/8" pedestal. Well, I spoke with Attwood and they don't make an adjustable pedestal in snap-lock 2-3/8" for the 24-30" height and neither does anyone else like Springfield. Apparently I need to buy a new pedestal and base soley for the front deck of my boat to work wtih my butt-seat. There are quite a few choices, Spring-Lock, Snap-Lock, lock and pin, and others. So, what brand and style should I get that is the most durable and cheapest? Also, what height is good for a butt-seat, 20-30"? Here is a picture of the butt-seat I got.

Why Do Most Pro Fisherman Use Cable Driven Trolling Motors Over Electric?
I believe that GPS coordinates can only be within 5-10 meters of accuracy anyway. So that's why I think you move around a bit on spot-lock also.

Why Do Most Pro Fisherman Use Cable Driven Trolling Motors Over Electric?
I love my Terrova, best fishing thing I've ever bought besides my boat. What's nice about the anchor too is when you catch a fish or are tying a lure on, just hit anchor and you stay in place (relatively). The Terrova will really change your life, it's awesome. I'd get one if I were you. You won't be disappointed.

Why don't electrics steer as fast as cables?

Why Do Most Pro Fisherman Use Cable Driven Trolling Motors Over Electric?
Can't you do that with electric style electric trolling motors?
-
Why Do Most Pro Fisherman Use Cable Driven Trolling Motors Over Electric?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are 2 types of trolling motors, cable driven and electric. The benefits of cable are more durable and quicker response and the benefits of the electric are a lower profile foot pedal and more ability to move the foot pedal around the boat? I know that many bass boats have a cut out for the high profile cable driven foot pedals. I actually don't like that since I like to move the foot pedal of my Minn Kota Terrova on whichever side of the boat I'm fishing from. But if I did have a cable driven I would want a cut out for the foot pedal I think the pedal is hard to use because it is so high. The Minn Kota Terrova is awesome. I love how you can use it to anchor and follow a route or autopilot. I'm sure the anchor feature isn't as necessary for pros because they have anchors like Power Poles. So, why do most pro fisherman still use cable driven trolling motors over electric?

I'm the exact opposite almost. lol. I have caught a few in lilypads on hollow bodies, but it's only a few. Caught a ton on Ragetail toads though.
