  1. Thanks. I called 3 times and no one answered. I emailed them. What's weird is that you can find the exact right pedestal in 1.77" but not the same type in 2 3/8".
  2. When I use Ragetail Toads and hollow body frogs like Spro's in lilypads I usually just real straight in and stop at edges and then continue reeling. It's worked pretty good. However, I was wondering if people walk-the-dog with their frogs over lilypads. This sounds like it would be hard because it's not regular water where it's easy to walk-the-dog. So, do you walk-the-dog when using a hollow body frog in lilypads?
  3. I have a 2000 Crestliner Fishhawk 1750 that has 3 Attwood seats. I think they are 2 3/8" snap-locks but not sure. I bought a Cabelas buttseat for the front and want to use an adjustable height pedestal that goes from around 24"-30". I found one from Cabelas that is perfect but it's for a snap-lock 1.77". Apparently mine is a snap-lock 2 3/8" but no one makes an adjustable one that is that height for some reason. This is the buttseat I bought. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Boating/Boat-Seats/Fold-Down-Boat-Seats|/pc/104794380/c/104705280/sc/104341680/Cabelas-Signature-Series-Pro-Seats/737431.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse%2Ffold-down-boat-seats%2F_%2FN-1100614%2FNs-CATEGORY_SEQ_104341680%3FWTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104794380%253Bcat104705280&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104794380%3Bcat104705280%3Bcat104341680 I found this one from Cabelas but it's too short. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Boating/Boat-Seats/Pedestals-Bases|/pc/104794380/c/104705280/sc/104492880/Swivl-Eze-238-Series-Power-Pedestal/737054.uts?destination=%2Fcatalog%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FN%3D1100617%26WTz_l%3DSBC%253BMMcat104794380%253Bcat104705280&WTz_l=SBC%3BMMcat104794380%3Bcat104705280%3Bcat104492880 Does anyone know where I can find a 24"-30" or so height adjustable pedestal for this 2 3/8" snap lock?
  4. So So you think XShip isn't so good?
  5. Is that bc of the gear ratio?

I've had like 5 snaps break casting costing me 5 lures. I don't use them anymore.
  7. Cool. I'll check if out.
  8. Are other people catching fish on that lake? When I was younger my bro and I fished a lake my cousins had a cabin on. Fished all day and finally caught a tiny 7" bass. I said there aren't any fish in this lake. My cousins dad laughed and said that's about it. The lake was known for having just a few tiny bass in it.
  9. I fish Minnesota Twin Cities lakes that are usually clear and have some weeds and pads for largemouth bass. I'm looking for a few things. All from big box stores like Cabelas or Gander Mountain. I saw that someone on here sells online ones but I'm looking for ones that I can store buy and pick up. One of the other posters suggested using a finesse jig for the lakes I fish. What do you suggest? 1.) Best jig and trailer 2.) Best priced jig and trailer *** Color advice on both.
  10. Are Zoom super chunks and crazy leg chiggers craws? What color for the trailer or would you do it the same as the jig? I think the Zoom Super Chunks are the ones I have! lol.
  11. So the lakes I fish mostly have sand bottoms and some weeds. I fish a lot of docks too. The water is pretty clear. The lakes are sometimes Bald Eagle and Whitebear Lake in/around Whitebear Minnesota. With all of these types of jigs: Swim jigs vs. Casting, Finesse, Flipping, Grass, Football, and Hair jigs, what would be the best one for this situation and what colors and what trailer? I've really only used Zoom black trailers and I think something called a Berkley Havoc but haven't had much succcess with either.
  12. I thought all bass jigs were basically swim jigs, meaning you cast them out, let them sink, and then fish them back to the boat however you see fit. But apparently some are swim jigs (I assume for swimming back) and others are for other things such as casting, finesse, flipping, grass and hair jigs. So what's the difference between Swim jigs vs. Casting, Finesse, Flipping, Grass, Football, and Hair jigs?
  13. Which one one for a sand bottom?
  14. My worry would be how strong are they?
  15. New Cabelas opening in Woodbury next week. I'm sure they will have some sales. I think if you stick with any of the big name brands, Abu Garcia, Shimano, and others you will be fine. Cabelas Tournament ZX rods were on sale for $69 each from $100 and they are supposed to be great rods. Won Outfoor Life's best rod award in 2013.
  16. 1.) Snapped an Abu Garcia tip off of my favorite rod by having the screen door slam on it when I was walking into the house. 2.) Had a St. Croix Rage rod tip snap when I was putting it in the rod locker of my boat. (Ironically, its my first boat with a rod locker and I asked the previous owner what he thought about rod lockers in boats and he said, "They break rods." I believe if I had a fishing sleeve on it the tip might not have caught and broken. My friend had an old, old rod and he only fishes about once a year, I was telling him how he should buy a new rod since his was so old and worn and a few seconds later he set the hook mildly on a small bass and his rod snapped in half. lol. Guess I was right.
  17. I would love to that, but I've had white bellied ones with a dark top and they don't catch nearly as many as the ones that are all dark. Don't know why, maybe because it's fairly clear water.
  18. Good point. After people said the tension on the springs was fine I was still worried about wear and tear on the straps. But his sounds true.
  19. Recently on sale for $69. I bet if you watch it it'll go on sale again. Probably soon.
  20. Check this thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/136614-tip-missing-this-great-aspect-of-the-ragetail-toad-catching-fish-on-the-sink-sit/ I have used the Ragetail Toad and Stanley Ribbit and never caught anything on the Stanley Ribbet but caught a majority of my bass on the Ragetail Toad. I will be trying some Zman Hard Leg frogs this year to because of their advertised durability. This is the hook style I use. I find that you don't tear out of the head nearly as much with this. I use 30-35# Power Pro. I also use a few Spro's, Scumfrogs, and others with less success.
  21. Walmart usually has some amazing deals on hunting stuff on their online website. Stuff they don't carry in stores.
