  1. So my friend got me into bass fishing a few years ago and I got hooked. Although the lakes get quite deep, I've almost always fished shallow, fishing docks and between docks. When I fish between docks I'm usually using a Ragetail Toad, spinnerbait, or jig. As I go down the shore and get to docks I use a senko for under the docks. When I get to big plots of lilypads and slop I will fish the Ragetail Toad, Heddon Moss Boss, or other topwater. I've done ok for years doing this. But I want to up my game and catch more fish and be more effective during all times of the season. Sometimes I do very well doing what I'm doing, othertimes I barely get a bite. I do fish from a 17' foot Crestliner Fishhawk with Minnekota Terrova, not from shore. I want to up my game and successfully catch fish all times of the year and I know that means fishing structure. I know I need to fish deeper and fish structure but I've never really known how. One of the lakes has a large spot that is probably about 10 feet deep with weeds going up to about 6-8 feet. I've rolled a spinnerbait over the top of the weeds in the past and done really good sometimes with 1-3lbs bass. Other times I've caught nothing. So how would you fish these lakes during the Spring, Summer, and Fall? Minnesota: Bald Eagle Lake Minnesota: White Bear Lake
  2. It's not about what group you choose. It's like out of question 1, of the two, which would you choose, and then out out of question 2, of the two, which would you choose.
  3. I know. But the point is that you have to make a choice. lol.
  4. 1.) Crankbait/jerkbait or Spinnerbait? 2.) Jig or stickbait/creature bait? *** It's not about what group you choose. It's like out of question 1, of the two, which would you choose, and then out out of question 2, of the two, which would you choose.
  5. So I tried an outboard motor flusher/muffs on my 2000 Mercury 115 horse. It didn't work. I turned the added on 3/4 and full pressure and no water came out of the port. I had just ran the boat in the water the same day and it worked. I gave it roughly 10-15 seconds. Well, I turned it off right away and unhooked everything. Took it out to the lake a week later and it ran great. My friend says he has never has luck with the flushers and uses an 100 gallon stock tank. I was thinking about doing this also. However the tank costs about $72 while a flusher costs $6-$20. The flusher worked on my 9 horse so I know they work. I'm debating trying another pair of flushers (a dual flusher model) before I buy the tank. What do you think?
  6. So it's a Texas rigged with a weighted hook?
  7. What is Rage rigged?
  8. I thought this bait just came out?
  9. How do you normally retrieve it?
  10. Not to change the course of your thread. I've never waxed a boat before. How important is that? Is that something you only do on a fiberglass boat?
  11. I didn't see any of those reels on that website.
  12. If you do have a chip can that be fixed?
  13. I don't know anyone who doesn't love topwater frog fishing. I have the Revo SX and love it. However it's 6:4:1 which is too slow in IMHO. So I just got two Revo rockets for topwater and topwater frogs. The Revo SX fars a good deal farther than my Plueger Patriach and that's a great reel. I'd definitely go with a 7:1 or faster.
  14. You're in for a long hard road buddy, take care of yourself.
  15. Thanks. It worked. It says that 15% off will be added to your cart.
  16. So I was set on getting a Shimano Ci4+FA and a Stradic FJ for my two 7' Cabelas Tournament ZX. However, there are a lot of good sales going on right now. I was wondering if I should get another spinning reel that is normally in the $180-$230 range for sale for less. Anyone have any ideas?
  17. Don't you ever say that! lol
  18. Haven't gotten my email yet and I'm on the newsletter. Do you need to do anything to get the discount?
