Wow, it looks exactly like the Whopper Plopper. Isn’t there a patent or something? Good that it works though!

I use these. Only $11 a piece and should cut thru any large hook up to Musky lure hooks. I should know, I got a big hook in my hand last summer and got an infection. You can get these at Menards. I like nose-hooking mine. More weedless and the fluke lasts a lot longer.
Weird. I’ve heard that sometimes the CPS spring doesn’t go on straight which could effect the tail rotating properly. Maybe try another tail?Hmmm....Booyah Pad Crasher, not Popping Frog? More weedless and they definitely last a lot longer. I like to jerk and twitch mine but my friends just feels it in and catches a ton of them.
Always a Plopper if I can for a few reasons. I love paddle tail frogs (homemade Teckel Sprinker Frogs) and Whopper Ploppers equally but the Whopper Plopper has a few advantages over a frog. 1.) Whopper Plopper has dual treble hooks. Better chance of hook ups because of this. 2.) Whopper Plopper is a hard bait so won’t deteriote after many fish like a frog which has a soft rubber body. Unless a northern really tears it up a WP could last lifetimes. 3.) Can cover water, faster with a Whopper Plopper than a frog.Do you still have it, a pic would help you do.So would it be worh buying another?I can save you some trouble. I tried the Spro, Scum, and KVD. None consistently worked but the Booyah did.Ah, yeah. Pressure sucks. Good luck! Tell us how it goes.I had a low percentage of hits with regular hollow body frogs too. Take one and add a paddle tail to it, I bet your bite ratio goes way up! What do you got to lose! Good luck!Maybe I got a bad one. Either way, the Booyah Pad Crasher for me has to only be squeezed if a fish bites it and misses.Update: Tried the KVD Sexy Frog. Wow, this thing sucks. It took on water every cast and had to be squeezed to release water every cast. All I did was snip the legs shorter. It will float the tail though. Used it for 30 mins and went back to the Booyah Pad Crasher. The Booyah Pad Crasher is my permanent frog now. No more testing other frogs. The Booyah lasts many fish, doesn't need to be squeezed to release water, has sharp hooks, and is cheap.Why would tournament guys use knock-offs in practice and not the real thing? I'd think they could afford the real deal or get them free/discounted?For sure. Time for a paddle tail frog then!I’d say that the Whopper Plopper has more advantages over a buzzbait. - Casts farther. - Multiple hooks for higher percentage chance of hookups. - Can be run at a wider range of speeds from very fast to extremely slow. - More durable than buzzbaits. - Can be cast in heavy winds.Cool. You’d have to come up with some type of mold I think.Congrats, great bass!!!Maybe more expensive than you want but 3 Whopper Plopper 90's or 75's if you can get them would be a lot of fun for smallies on topwater.
