Will a Tesla X (SUV) tow a loaded 2014 Stratos VLO?
I have a 2014 Stratos 186 VLO has a trailered/loaded weight around 2,720lbs. (estimate - I don't know if this is the correct weight). If anyone knows the correct weight it would be nice. I was told that car companies sort of lie about tow limits and if a car says it can tow 5,000lbs. that 5,000lbs. actually also includes the weight of the passengers and luggage in the car too so if you have 4 people that could be arond 760lbs. right there. Can a Tesla X (SUV) safety tow it? The Tesla X has a towing capacity limit of 5,000lbs.

New PB for Wopper Plopper
I get fouled 3 times with any lure and change it to something more weedless. If I get fouled 3 times with a Whopper Plopper I switch to a Whopper Frog.

I've found that split rings sorta suck too but they can be done quickly and easily with practice. Here's a review of the regular Fastash clips.

Love them. I use the KVD Swivel Fastaches on all of my baitcasters. They dont catch any weeds that I’ve noticed. If there are weeds it’s always the lure.

All these Whopper Plopper posts are making me want to get back on the water and hook some monsters!!!

I also use a snap and swivel so I can switch out quickly and to avoid line twist. This is what I use. Interesting about your problem with the 75. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone else have a problem. Maybe you got a bad one or there are just some that don’t run well.

Wacky rig and braid
I use #10lbs. yellow Power Pro braid for my spinning reels. When I wacky rig it helps having hi-viz yellow because once the lure hits the water i watch the line and if it darts to once side you know you got one.

I agree. The 110 was made to fill the size between 130 and 90 but there was another problem, the 90 never seemed to run right for many folks. So, along comes the 75, basically an improved 90. No real need for the 90 anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if sales of the 90 petered out.

40 Year Old Virgin: Never Frogged Before
You can definitely use what you have just makes it riskier. I only use 30lbs. Power Pro braid on all of my baitcasters and 15lbs. on my spinning reels and do fine. However, I'm not fishing super thick pads like Florida. But I've never had a breakoff. If you have frogs and aren't having success I suggest taking one of them, if it's a Booyah and making a Whopper Frog. I saw a ton of improvement in my frog fishing hookups when I switched too this. You don't need a Teckel Sprinker Frog tail like some use either, you can just cut the tail off of a cheap swimbait. Good luck! Here's how to make them:

Anyone use the new Teckel Maracker yet? - Hope they sell spare tails!
So, Teckel came out with the new Maracker Frog which is basically the Teckel Sprinker Frog with a different tail. The Maracker has a metal rattle tail while the Sprinker Frog has a soft, paddle tail. For me the Teckel Sprinker never ran right and having a down-turned nose probably caused that. With an up-turned nose it would probably ride on top better rather than dive and would push the tail down giving it more bite and having it run better. I'm not the only person to have problems with the Teckel Sprinker design, I really wanted it to work well but after numerous trips gave up on it. You'd think they would have made improvements to the new Maracker to counter these issues. Wondering if anyone has used the new Teckel Maracker Frog yet and their thoughts on it. Also, I hope they sell Maracker spare tails like they do for the Teckel Sprinker Frog because I'd like to try their tail on my homemade Whopper Frogs which use the Teckel Sprinker Frog Tail.

The Whopper Ploppeer
Those are all the same colors I have. lol I would say start with a 75 and then 110 after that. The 90 didn’t run great which is why they made the 75 I thought?

You too! Good luck out there.

Personally Monkey Butt....but I don’t think it matters. We all use different colored ones at same time and catch fish.

Thanks. Ordered the parts.

Thanks. Now I won’t have to check. If the 75 starts catching the big fish it’s the perfect Whopper Plopper for bass IMHO.

Interesting about the tail. I’ll try to compare them tomorrow and see if that’s right. The 75 definitely makes a great, deep, “plop, plop” sound. You hear that and go, man, that sounds like a fish catching sound....and then you get a strike. Love that sound.

River2Sea has a nice gimmick going.
Nearly exact copy cat of Whopper Plopper it seems. It’s easier to copy a hardbait than a stickbait. Yamamoto makes his Senkos with just the right amount of salt for the perfect sinking presentation and no one has been able to copy that yet. Colors are made to catch fishedman, not fish. When we fish the Whopper Plopper or Whopper Frog and there is more than me we always fish different colors and all catch fish. If the fish are biting Whopper Ploppers or Whopper Frogs that day it seems color never matters. And that’s most likely because it is a topwater bait.
