Mixing Outboard Synthetic With Convential Oil?
I have a 2000 Mercury 115 horse and I got 3 one gallon bottles for a good price. The thing is that it's synthetic and the motor is currently filled with conventional oil. I was under the impression that you should not mix synthetic and conventional oil. So, I was going to drain the 2 year old motor oil out and put in the new synthetic. I was told that you should put all new oil in your motor every year. I didn't realize this and haven't done it in my 2 years of owning my boat. I've just been refilling as the oil goes down. It's an oil injected motor, so there is a reservoir that holds the oil and you fill it up and the motor automatically injects it into the motor I guess. It doesn't go through a lot of oil. After not being able to find the drain I started a thread on here and people helped out and said that that kind of motor doesn't have a drain. And why don't they both say "two cycle" or "two stroke", even though they are the same thing. Confusing! So, what do I do to get this old oil out? Or should I just put add new oil in as the old oil gets used up? And do you change you motor oil out every year just like lower unit oil?

Where Is My Outboards Oil Drain Plug?
I was told that I should drain my outboards motor oil (not lower unit oil - although you should change your lower unit's oil every year too) every year and put new oil in it. I didn't realize this and ran it 2 years staright. It's an oil injected motor so I put oil in one tank and it automatically mixes it in with the gas. I cannot seem to find the drain plug for this. The two drain screws on the right side of the lower unit are both for the lower unit oil. It's a 2000 Mercury 115 horse 2 stroke. Where is the oil plug drain on this motor? Two lower unit oil drain plugs:

The Annual What Lures Are You Most Looking The Forward To Using This Year?
So, as bass season is quickly approaching (Minnesota) I just got my boat down and can't wait to get onto the lake. Although we are at 38' degrees tonight and perhaps get snow. I made a large purchase of lures last year during the winter (really am done buying lures and rods and stuff, I have everything I need for a long time) and can't wait to get them out onto the water this spring. This year Minnesota is opening the bass season about a month early (yes!) although it's only catch and release. I have no problem with this. I just hated starting bass fishing nearly a month behind the walleye opener and missing on great fishing and beautiful weather. You basically miss out on a month of bass fishing. Now we won't be missing out on that great fishing in the spring. Most of the lures I bought were things that I'd already used such as more Cavitrons (best buzzbait out there IMHO) and some new stuff such as a D&M Custom Baits Double Hammer Buzzbaits and Ima Roumba and Ima Skimmer. Although I can't wait to try the DM Double Buzzbait the two lures that I can't wait to try out for the first time are the Ima Skimmer and Ima Roumba. I love topwater fishing and had a lot of fun last year with buzzbaits and topwaters such as the KVD Sexy Dawg. I also got into using topwater wakebaits and they are a lot of fun also. I had good success with the Arashi wake bait and not so much luck with the Rapala Waking Minnow. The Ima Roumba is a wake bait and the Skimmer is a topwater. So, what are the lures that you are most excited to use this year?

A New Way To Tame The Bait Monkey
You're like a personal shopper. lol. My 1/2 brothers dad wanted help getting some hunting supplies on our way to a pheasant hunt. I was like 17 at the time. I said what do you need, gloves, license? He was like no. I don't have anything. I need everything including a shotgun. I told him two good shotguns, both very expensive. He said he didn't want to decide which one was better so he decided to get both. And then he basically loaded his cart with all the most expensive clothing. Must be nice being rich. lol. I've never forgetten that trip. Go on a trip. Buy everything you need on the way. lol.

How Much Better Are Glass Lenses Over Plastic?
I've read that the clarity with glass lenses is much better then plastic lenses in sunglasses. Is that true? Is the improved clarity of glass lenses worth the additional weight of glass, cost, and durability?

Good Budget Topwater, Wakebait, Frog Rod To Be Used With Braid.
These are great $100 rods and awesome $69 rods. They are on sale at Cabelas right now. All of my rods are these rods (baitcasting and spinning) are these rods except 1 G. Loomis, but I use these Cabelas ones exclusively. At this price you could get 2 rods. I had the Topwater/Jerkbait rod and the Frog rod. Like the frog one better and returned the topwater rod and exchanged it for another Frog rod at no cost. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Tournament-ZX-Bass-Casting-Rods/1619298.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3FrecordsPerPage%3D18%26No%3D0%26N%3D0%26nl%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3DZx%26search%3DSearch&No=0&Ntt=Zx Here's my review on these rods from earlier: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/139456-review-cabelas-tournament-zx-baitcasting-and-spinning-rod/?hl=%2Bcabelas+%2Btournament

Best Baitcasting Reel For Under $250
So my friend is looking for his second baitcasting reel. He got a new one last year from Bass Pro (one of their cheaper ones) and it appeared broken from the start. He's looking for the best one under $250. What would you get? And where is the cheapest place to get it (online or in-store)?

Cabelas Tournament Zx Spinning And Baitcasting Rods On Sale For $69
I think you guys will really like them. And for the price and especially warranty, how can you go wrong? I had a problem with one of them, the bottom end of the rubber handle cap started separating. Took it to Cabelas with no receipt and they exchanged it for one off of the shelf. One nice thing about buying products with the Cabelas name on them. It certainly didn't come from any other place.

Anyone Trade Up Boats Every Few Years?
I know this is common for people to do with cars, especially leases, trading them up for a new one every few years. Does anyone do this with boats besides tournament fisherman?

Cabelas Tournament Zx Spinning And Baitcasting Rods On Sale For $69
I'll mention that all the rods I use are the Cabelas Tournament ZX now. Sold my St. Croix Mojo Bass. The only ones that aren't Cabelas Tournament ZX are my tiny St. Croix ultra-light spinning rod for panfish and my heavy duty G. Loomis for walleye/salmon. Neither types that can be replaced by Tournament ZX's.

Will Ima Skimmers And Roumbas Ever Be Sold At The Big Box Stores?
These are a Japanese brand I believe. I see that Cabelas sells one Ima lure. Do you think the big box stores, Cabelas, Gander Mountain, Bass Pro will ever carry the Ima Skimmer or Roumba? Will Ima ever make it big in the US?
