  1. Hope this us a good sign for 2023 ! My first day fishing in 2023, and I caught a bass on my first cast. Last year here upstate NY the water levels were low all summer. Glad to see they're back to normal for now. It was a small one, but it was only 38 degrees outside and I left soon afterwards. Of course I forgot to replace batteries in my scale !
  2. Today upstate New York. Does this look like a fox, or just a regular dog ? Thanks in advance for any input !
  3. I wish I was there Congratulations on such a great fishing day !
  4. I use ziplock freezer bags. Test in kitchen sink to see how much air to leave in to ensure floats.
  5. Only caught a Bass with a weird lump in it's belly... but took a great Before & After Picture December & May
  6. I've been wearing Teva for many years now. Great protection and water goodness.
  7. Live bait is only blasphemous to lure manufacturers because they cannot profit from it ?
  8. Great day for me. Especially since my Dad was there to take a picture. My prior PB was 4.43 lbs from November 2020, before that was 4.32 lbs from October 2004. Thanks for looking.
  9. Chilly 51 degrees this morning.
  10. It was about a group of German soldiers who take over a man's chalet and and kill his wife (and I think child) he hides in the house and kills them off/terrorizes them. It was a shocking movie like the way the original Wicker Man is shocking. So I know it was on late night TV. In color, before 1991.
  11. 4.2 is my guess. At least close enough to being a 4 pounder. Looks good !
  12. That's a whopper for sure. Getting submerged with waders on sounds scary ? I
  13. My dad does the same. Just in case it breaks while we are fishing, I keep an extra reel in the car that he doesn't know about.
  14. Saw a big one today.
  15. Looks like something I would have investigated in my youth, and most likely gotten hurt.
  16. I somehow injured my shoulder 3 years ago, and thought rest would make it better but over the following year I slowly lost movement range until I couldn't even touch my face. I finally went to doctor, he sent me to physical therapy. The physical therapy was really painful, it felt like the therapist was going to break my arm off. When it was done I was back to 100% movement and been so for over a year now. Just my advice from personal experience... waiting for it to get better by itself did not work, in fact made it worse.
