  1. Megabass 110 Silent Risers en route.......
  2. where in NJ are you located?
  3. where is the sound coming from? The title mentions a rod, but from the post it sounds like it may be coming from the reel?
  4. well I guess it's a good thing that it's their money and not yours, right?
  5. I get that, I'm just saying that all of the sponsored pros I know are using off the shelf stuff, with some JDM or products from other markets mixed in. Nothing is custom made, for them at least. Im sure there are guys who have their rods custom made as well, but from what I've seen it's not standard.
  6. While this may be the case with some pros, its certainly not the case with most.
  7. Another vote for the Zodias. Do yourself a favor and check them out. I received a 1610M shortly after the Classic and fell in love with it. One of my favorite rods I own. Shortly after I picked up a 172MH and that rod does ALOT of things well.
  8. good choice. The only difference is the line capacity and 1" of retrieve.
  9. If you think that's bad, don't go Tuna fishing during a hot bite Had the same thing happen more than a few times, except when they run over your lines out there it costs as much as $6-700 in lost tackle....
  10. we shall see. put 40lb gliss on a set up last night. diameter wise, next to 15lb power pro it looks about identical. Will see how it holds up
  11. If I were using PP, I'd stick with the original. The super slick casts well, but it's the only braid I've ever used that would fray on the open beach just from the sand..... I tried it twice (2 different batches) and never went back.
  12. Not weightless. I fish them on 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 oz jig heads depending. I actually use Strike king Shaky heads as they have a thinner wire hook and im fishing them in open water a lot of times.... really improves the hookup ratio for me when I only have to lightly sweep the rod to bury the hook.... As for colors, I fish Ayu, Smallmouth Magic, and Prostaff Special mostly.
  13. Bauer's has been closed for a number of years now
  14. I second the Cablz. I have 5 pairs and they all have Cablz on them
  15. think about if you really want to go to baitcasting equipment to throw such light weights... throwing swimbaits and throwing weightless stickbaits couldn't be any more different. For what you are looking for, I use spinning gear. I know there are some here that throw light weights with BC equipment, maybe one of them can chime in with suggestions.
  16. Tommy, Try fishing a keitech 3.8 Fat or something similar on a jig head if the water clarity is "ok" or better.
  17. If you are looking to meet people in the industry, and have the chance to work a booth with a company you may have a relationship with, I'd say it's worth it if you are local. If you are just looking to see what's new or get a deal (which you can't, since there's no selling), then I'd say no. That said, it came up quick this year! Just looked and my flight's in less than a week. OK, back to work....
  18. I'd consider that more of "less bass broken off when you short line them next to the boat"
  19. I've been shooting for 10,000+ steps a day. This would not help me at all. Pretty cool though. technology is crazy
  20. That's what i saw as well. It's probably a great camera in it's price range, but I like that I can shoot at higher resolutions AND higher FPS.
