Leftover Braid
I use all my old or leftover braid as backing. even if they are really short, like 20-30 yards, you can just tie several pieces together.

Timmy Horton Depth Charge (A-rig)
"The most notable design is the select, quick clip weighted head and it’s placement on the middle-aft wire of the A-Rig which not only assists in longer casts, but virtually eliminates line tangle around the wires due to a tail first fall. " Gotcha, interesting looking rig. Personally I prefer to use weighted swimbait hooks if I want a weedless presentation.

Timmy Horton Depth Charge (A-rig)
whats the purpose of that head on the center arm?

Bass Jig Storage?
no, nothing bad will happen to your jig skirt or weedguard, but you have to be careful of any remaining water, as they can damage your hooks if you dont let it dry

Size jig would be best?
sounds like you need an arky or flipping style jig. 3/8-3/4oz would be ideal.

My Rod & Reel Arsenal Goals
yup, very many redundant stuff, but i think this is just like one of those "dream arsenal" kind of things many of us have. I have a dream arsenal too, and I only completed 1 out of the 6 combos

Neko rig
I prefer the neko rig when fishing bare bottom or mushy bottoms. The hook stays out of any garbage on the bottom and I do prefer it over a shakyhead in those situations

Right or left
doesnt matter. It literally makes no difference

Imakatsu Gill Pop reviews

Which rod to buy???
Then I can also say bigger guides=more vibration absorbed by the guides=less sensitivity Guide sizes dont make any difference in my experience, if they were made from the same material.

Skipping Setup?
I can't give any specific rod/reel model recommendations in your price range, but I do like a 7' H/MF rod for skipping 3/8-1/2oz jigs. As far as reels, I dont know if any specific reel is better/worse than others at skipping, but I do prefer ones with magnetic breaks, in my case Daiwa magforce.
-
Skipping Setup?
to get a specific answer, you need to give specific question. what are you trying to skip? whats your budget? rod length preference (are you tall? short?), etc.

Possible rod switch
But it doesnt matter if you love your Falcons so much that you keep going back, right? No need to second guess yourself if you have confidence in your rods As for other companies offering better rods, I cant comment on that since iv used a Falcon rod only once.
-
Possible rod switch
You mean the manufactures you listed are using inferior technology compared to Falcon? What technologies are you refering to?

Best super smooth reel?
Maybe a zillion tw sv? Great for pitching
-
Odd Rapala Find
I have the crappie lipless and the sunfish crank, looks nice

Moderate fast for jigs
my jig rod is the X7 Diablo Fastmove, 7' H/MF, love the taper.

Senkos or Dingers?
If you want to use it for weightless texas rig or wacky, senkos will be better due to better shimmy and slightly heavier weight. If you want to use it for anything else, like shakyhead, jighead wacky, weighted texas rig, carolina rig, etc, dingers will be better because they last longer and are cheaper, and the difference in action of the 2 in those techniques is almost nonexistent.
