Wife is hard on her new reel, looks terrible
I’ve never had a reel get marred like that from setting it down on anything. Your wife’s reel looks like it is being dropped on the rocks, not set down. But as long as it’s working I wouldn’t worry about it.

Possible promising new spot…
Agreed. This place just happens to be a public park on a main highway. It’s not so secret.

Possible promising new spot…
Anytime. If I get out there this fall I’ll let you if I have any luck

Possible promising new spot…
I’ve had zero luck out there. Seen a few folks catching bream but that’s about it. The whole place is covered in some sort of grass that I’m unfamiliar with…so fish something weedless. Also, there are a ton of copperheads around that place so be careful launching your kayak

Trusty Home Defense Gun
.357 S&W J-frame...I've yet to have a revolver fail to go bang; no safety, just point and go boom.

Feeling A Bite When Dragging The Bottom?
I though there would be more replies/answers to this...but I guess when you already know the bottom composition it's easy to say what things feel like. Any of the more seasoned veterans from before the time of on-board electronics around here??? I would like to know their opinion/experience on this.

Question About Baitcasting Technique
How can the angle of the line coming off of the reel change? I kind of understand what I think you're trying to explain, but this confused me more since the line will always come out at the same angle off of the reel and into the first eye on the rod...

Muck Boot Company Supports Hsus
Sometimes companies have to send money to places they don't want to just to keep those folks quiet... i.e. hush money. Crazyjoe...you can't go wrong w/the Alpha Burlys.

How Would You Fish This Neighborhood Lake? (Images Included)
I would be flipping/pitching jigs into those submerged trees...pick the jig, color and then add a rage craw trailer. Being in the same situation and only fishing the neighborhood "fishing hole" the fishing has been tough of late. I'm gonna just ease off and wait until late September and then kill it again w/jerk baits.

Feeling A Bite When Dragging The Bottom?
^^^^This....but I wonder what fishermen said about what they "thought" the bottom structure/composure was before electronics... It's easy to say what something feels like when you already know what it is you're in contact with.

Floating Log Cabin
Double the size and I'll do whatever it takes to get one. Gotta be the most awesome place to wake up in the morning...

That's a good looking fish, well worth a picture.

Favorite Movie
Son in Law was possibly the greatest (for lack of a better word) movie Pauly Shore ever did. Plus, Tiffany Amber Thiessen was smokin' back then.

Favorite Movie
Love all of the serious movies, but Blazing Saddles is at the top of my list...never get tired of quoting it.

Another Fish Id. Anyone Know What It Is?
We call them either mudfish or blackfish...either way it's never fun getting them unhooked when you're not expecting to catch them.

I'm gonna agree w/everyone else and say no, they do not sell in bulk. However, here is the link to their "contact us" page and you can just email them and ask! If you get an error from your browser, just click on the continue to this page option.

Lakes First Boat Ride!
I know you can't wait 'til he is big enough to go w/you, but you will miss the days when he was small enough to hold in one arm. Great looking family and some healthy looking fish...it seems all is well in Kansas.

What Lures Not To Use Braid With
I use braid for just about everything when bass fishing. I'll use a fluoro leader w/soft plastics, cranks and jerks. My favorite aspect of braid is that I have never lost a lure b/c of a knot or my line breaking; w/the cost of terminal tackle and lures these days braid will save you a good amount of money on those days when you just can't hit your spots when casting.

Best Vocalist Thread
^^^LOOOOOVE Pearl Jam, but w/o the internet I would be lost trying to figure out some of their lyrics. I can't complain though, I still crank Ten like I did when I first got the tape 20 years ago (yes, my parents went the cheap route and bought the cassette tape). Vedder is up there as one of my all-time favorite front-men because of his ability to make you feel the emotion he is feeling.

Very Scary Fishing Experience
I don't venture out on the bank w/o at least some leather boots on unless it's a very clear area. I hate snakes!!!

Sometimes It's Good...
I don't see it as being a pack rat if the stuff you're saving has an actual use. I mean you wouldn't throw out a Phillips head screwdriver b/c you have used in it a while...With my luck, anytime I get rid of something that's has just been taking up space, the very second I pitch it I need a part off of it.
